Come; join me, for our journey has been long For our search is over, no more milling throng Rest your weary body in my strong arms Let me caress your thoughts and sense your charms
Come, once more, let me hold you tight Embrace loving feeling; we know for us is right Do you not sense that emotional shivered tingle? With entwined bodies forever our passion to mingle
For us, we would walk the lonely path no more Can we enter paradise together and shut the door Would we grasp the chance that came our way? For loneliness can dream sanctuary on another day
No love was ever taken that did not risk all But oh! How it makes you feel so very tall In arms together we can journey as one Breaking our bread, not to scatter a crumb
Life came once more to a beating heart The dark curtain was raised and drawn apart The choir of emotions would renew our song Don’t stay apart for love cannot be wrong
Then take this moment and savour the joy Taste the rosebuds that embrace would employ I ask of thee in my arms you would belong Come; join me, for our journey has been long

As gnj says,I second that, its such a beautiful tribute to your friend. You have a unique way to make one laugh to advise someone,to lend a shoulder to cry on,to spur them on to higher planes.I love this poem Rob....a lovely rendering of loving thoughts towards a friend. Thanks for sharing Rob.
