You were to young to leave

You were to young to leave

You were so weary God put his arms around you You gently slipped away That’s the day you were taking to your new home while holding Gods hands You didn’t go alone a part of me went too Never good bye Always I’ll see you later!

Piece Of Mind

Piece Of Mind

It was 12-4-92 when I wrote this. Being towards very much more songwriter than poet, I started out loosely with this and it all took form. Odd as it seems, it was at the end of the Gulf War; yet, perhaps, it fits most best as of now?

slice of life

Games and life!

Such games prevail, but sadness reigns, the Show must go on, be what they want you to be, And then, finally you see, too late, it’s over, Oh such games we play, humanity is where it is, Honesty and integrity, so many have failed, So many pedesta

Suffer the little children to come unto me Matt 19 14

“Suffer the little children to come unto me..”Matt.:19-14

I know it’s late but I had to say something. I hear responsible gun owners and the majority of Americans want gun legislation that prevents this daily occurrence. Lawmakers must do better. Were it their own kids dying they would do something Yesterday! Inflation, the economy are important but people are dying senselessly. This cannot be ignored!

Should I…?

I wonder..after death, would we want to remember our old life?

Same old story!

A Winter's day in Summer, A Summer's day in Winter, A promise kept, A promise broken, A pact un-kept, A love unspoken, Different days, and different ways, Different eyes and different lies, Different you and different me, Different times

Launch Complex 34

Launch Complex 34

On January 27, 1967, NASA astronauts Virgil I. Grissom, Edward H. White, II, and Roger B. Chaffee were aboard an Apollo spacecraft and Saturn IB rocket for what was supposed to be routine ground testing of the systems. America was heading for the Moon, and all-up testing was designed to ensure spacecraft functions, the Launch Control Center, and other critical pieces required to get to the Moon. The test was considered non-hazardous. A 100% oxygen-fed fire ignited in their Command Module, and all three perished in just a few minutes as launch pad personnel desperately tried to open the multi-layered hatch which was designed to be hard to remove to preserve spacecraft hull integrity. Others tried to fight the fire while rescue crews arrived, but it was to no avail. Launch Complex 34 was decommissioned after the manned Apollo 7 launch, and the launch platform left as part of a memorial to the astronauts. In honor of their lost lives, NASA also deemed that the astronauts should be forever honored by honoring their crew name of Apollo 1, which would have been the first manned Earth-orbit flight for the Command and Service Modules. Their official mission patch is black-bordered in publicity photos of the men taken before their deaths, rather than do afterwards in memoriam. Some 55 years after their deaths, the LC-34 platform still stands, with two plaques honoring the men attached to the platform legs, as well as additional memorial information added to the site.

The Old Oak Tree

The Old Oak Tree

The old Oak tree was in pretty bad shape. It had been hit by lightning in 78. Kids climbed on it and broke some branches. About 50 feet away there was a wild cherry, it's bark was very smooth and it's leaves so green. Every year it m

We went fishing after my Godpa passed away this September. I went fishing with my Godmother as that was the way she wanted to remember him. They love fishing. I saw a bird fly in the sky so I wrote about it.

Are we i wonder?

Honesty and integrity are the ideal of what we should be, truthfulness and clarity are what we should see, are we a minus or a plus, we won't make a fuss, I think that minus may win the game, I don't know, are we all the same?

I woke!

I woke today, just like yesterday, but with winters rain against my window pane, on this summers day, was wrong!, , no sunlight shadow crossed my bedroom there, no birdsong noone to care, and the light would dim, lie down and die, forsaken who? you o
