More than fifty years ago, whilst visiting the Louvre in Paris, I was emotional attracted to a painting of a young man laying his young wife in her grave, the very fact that the painting was in the Louvre merited the title of masterpiece, all the facets of emotion came pouring out of the canvas which has stayed with me ever since.
