Those first days of spring with cheeks so ruddy Wanting sun burns with desire winter clouds Dares passage over meadows so muddy Besides ice cold brook grows in misty shrouds
Sing us up vibrant song you redbreast bold Revel a whole woods cry out Spring has Come Wake the day alive and shake off the cold We all know you won't let your love keep mum
Burst from the ground an iris or crocus While we smile with our eager impatience Who be first to show their hocus pocus To study nature... is love not science
So precious a time rewinds like a clock When the first signs of spring is all we talk

About this poem:
Love is really all about what you got.. so take a little lesson from nature and .....show it off!! haha (A rather interesting observation of mine)
A little update to say its back to winter here....snow and cold once again...however... I have heard one report of a single flowering crocus pushing its way into this world...

Hi Yankee, nice Sonnet. I wanted to say how much I liked it and all morning I've seen signs of spring in the air. The trees are budding and I'm seeing butterflies again. It's almost 80 here today and I'm loving it. I tried to send you a Shamrock for St. Patty's Day and I couldn't because I was blocked. So Happy St. Patty's and know I send a hug and blessings to you. I have missed everyone here. Take care, Celtic
Beautiful, thanks...don't watch now for the forecast up north is awful for us weary winter types...Tuesday's a'callin for 12-18 inches of snow!! Please..... Nooooooooooooooo more !!! whoa!!!
Celtic and a very Happy St. Patrick's Day to you as well.... makes me want to kiss a frog and wish it was spring soon....don't know why I said that i thought it was funny...
Thats some Really good stuff. Thank you for the read. ....Jesse

LOL. Anything that makes me laugh right now is welcome. The last kick of winter is rather cathartic. My word of the day. What are we without possibility? So I am reveling in blessings of this day as well. Thank you. Celtic

Love how you phrased that Yankee
It's so very true
A toast, to the 'First Signs of Spring'
I think the groundhog predicted them
But I'm not positive!
