Childhood Memories: Vigus and I

I clearly recall Vigus who was around eight
Wearing a girl's dress climbing over their front gate
His folks thought this apparel would keep him at home
And discourage him from leaving their place to roam

When we played a game of marbles on the bare ground
He would tuck the dress between his legs and stoop down
This was in preparation for his turn to “pitch”
So he could aim at the target without a hitch

His first language was a version of French patois
Which he learned in his native island, St. Lucia
When we first met and he spoke French patois to me
I, not understanding, would nod approvingly

We made chocolate ice cream from sifted dirt and sand
And sought someone to taste our own special brand
He was my next door neighbour and as a young boy
Playing together as children brought us great joy

A Brownies Girl....Not

~Bentlee Challenge-One of your earliest funny memories~ Poem

The days were sunny
hockey sticks in the funny

the water cool
racing in the pool

ballet pointing
wanting to dance
just not
elegance

Sent to "Brownies"
all the immaculate
dressed brimming

Me
finished swimming hair wet
was told
to stay away

kicked out of Brownies

that
day

Never made it to the Girl Guides

About this poem:
I was so into sports and in the late 60's you had to conform as a girl to brownies and girl guides my older sister did wonderfully, but i just was so into sport and dance,

I was in a swimming comp when I turned up at Brownies, and my hair being very long was all wet, I was ordered out of the line up.
My mum probably didn't give me a towel, was not about to tell the brownie leader lady.
We were quite poor.

~Bentlee Challenge-One of your earliest funny memories~

~In-no-cent Moon~

Once upon a time, I ran out of the house
My azz had no cover
I was small as a mouse
To the corner store I ran
With my moon shining bright

The patrons at cash
Laughed at the sight
Of my small tiny azz
Walking the floor

Candy in hand
Looking up to the clerk
My pockets were empty
I'd left them at home.

BENTLEE CHALLENGE

LITTLE GIRL

I must have annoyed
mum and dad

I was an aggravating
girl child

Always curious about
this and that

Question upon question
spoken quietly

They sent me on a
message

To joiners next door
For long stand

Art of war VII

Many life tales have i written.
All of wisdom and adventure.
I tell you now of a place,
Of my adolescence.

Barren and abandoned.
Blasted landscape,
Crumbled buildings.
Stunk of unnatural death.

Time did not exist there.
No one dared set foot in that place.
Crafted means to kill populace,
long ago.

It was perfect.
No life, no authority.
Where vigilance ruled.
Where the spirit of man,
Was observed in full.

It claimed my life.
Damned to that hell,
Though we were wiped clean,
from the earth.

Because Of You

You took me to a paddock, and the darkness swelled,
you told me not to panic, and then you showed me hell.
I wanted to run away but, where could I go?
Felt like time never ends, I felt my fear grow.

My mum, made me, cry, and cry.
My dad, he'd fight, he'd fight, because of that night.

You think you gave the child I was some love,
but it wasn't!
You messed me up and so I locked myself,
in my own prison!
I was an outcast when I went to school,
because of you!
Crazy, smoking dope, alcohol, short fuse,
because of you!

Would I have turned out different, no stolen innocence?
If you never took me away, would I be a bit more sane?
Fare better in a crowd, could I stand being held?
Would this broken shell have grown up to take on the world?

I can't let go of it, let go of the past,
Did ya know the damage you did, was going to last.
I take tablets now, so I don't go psycho,
It's why I'm so run down, I just can't let go.

About this poem:
I haven't put any of my lyrics in verses, bridges, etc. because I didn't think people would really want to read the same part over and over again. Each of my lyrics I post is basically the two verses; the bridge/break, pre-chorus, post-chorus and the chorus each once.

I see I've turned into a bit of a serial poster so I'll give it a rest after this one.

THE CAT LIED

THE CAT DID NOT SIT ON THE MAT,

INFACT THE MAT THE FAT CAT SAT ON

WAS INFACT A RAT AS FLAT AS A TACK.

“OHHH”, SPAT THE FAT CAT TO A BAT WHO WAS HANGING ON A RACK,

“WHAT’S THAT, WHAT’S THAT” SHREIKED THE BAT TO THE FAT CAT,

“THE MAT …. THE MAT” SPAT THE CAT

“IT’S A DEAD RAT, A FLAT FAT RAT AT THAT”.

SPAT…. SPAT…. THE CAT.

“IS THAT A FACT, IMAGINE THAT” SAID THE BAT

TO THE FAT CAT AS HE LEFT HIS RACK TO INSPECT THE MAT MADE OUT OF RAT.

PAT PAT DID THE BAT TO THE MAT MADE OUT OF RAT, A BIG FAT RAT AT THAT.

THEN FLEW BACK TO HIS RACK,

HAVING A CACK , AT THE CAT WHO WAS STILL HAVING A HEART

ATTACK OVER THE FAT MAT MADE OUT OF RAT

SPAT …. SPAT …. WENT THE CAT

CACK …. CACK …. WENT THE BAT.

Exciting Good Morning happy new year for Sweetheart

happy new year my friend..

About this poem:
I wish I could always be with you.
Wrapping my arms around you
I constantly think about you.
I miss you and I love you!
Good Morning my Sweetheart
You are my life,
You are my everything
A day without you
Is like a day without sunshine
I love you! Good Morning
You are one special girl
You can take my breath away
With you, I can look forward to tomorrow
I forget all the sadness and sorrow.
I love you, dear. Good Morning
A morning text does not simply mean,
“Good morning.”
Rather, it comes with the silent loving
message,
“I think of you when I wake up.”
Good Morning my dear.

SCHOOL DAYS

WE WERE ALL THERE AT ONE TIME! ALWAYS READY FOR SOME GOOD CHATTER; TALKING ABOUT SUBJECTS THAT WOULD NEVER MATTER!THE ATMOSPHERE ON THE BUS SOUNDED LIKE A HEN ROOST! I COULDNT WAIT FOR THE RIDE TO END; SO I COULD GIVE MY EARS, A GOOD BOOST! I REALLY LOVED MY YEARS IN SCHOOL; AND ALWAYS LIVED BY THE GOLDEN RULE! YOUR SCHOOL DAYS ARE REALLY THE BEST YEARS OF ANYONE"S LIFE; WHERE EACH DAY WAS FULL OF CAREFREE TIMES; AND NEVER AN OUNCE OF STRIFE!
