THE POPPY

As i wear my poppy with pride
I shall remember the fallen soldiers that have died
With honour and grace their memory we shall honour
To are brave soldiers we wear are poopies with pride just for you

On Frances fields of poppies all lined in rows and crosses in rows we Remember your lost souls
Fighting in vain so you may live again in are hearts and minds
You will be born again
We shall not forget what you have done are poppies remind us what you Have done

Now we wear are poppies for remeberance and peace, red and white we will not forget
Those brave fallen soldiers we should never forget.

forgiveness

forgiveness I think is best.
life is just one big test.
even when I'm angry two
wrongs don't make a right.
I'm not one to anger or
fight. when I get hurt I
lash out. I have to ask
what's this all about?
times come when I'm mad
as hell. My broken heart
wants to scream aloud and
of that I'm not proud.
So I say forgive because
that's who I am and chose
to live.

This world has nothing for me

Lying on an unmade bed
wondering how I will ever make it
Trying to find the strength to raise my head
when it takes all I got to breathe in
Still waiting on the rain to come and fall
even though I know it won't wash it all away
But I don't want to go out and find the sun
because it will only make me want to feel alive again

This world has nothing for me

Dwell on my thoughts as I lie still
wonder how I could ever try
When I can't answer my own mind
when I think why do I want to die
Tell myself I want to change how I feel
even though I can't make myself believe it
So I paint the walls in black
every time I want someone to love again

This world has nothing for me

of the beholder

brushing away the light of distortion
total blackness
well...total blackness for all but one as I
for I am without sight
enabling me to see far past the veneer
well enough to 'try men's souls', if you would
all the layers are peeled back
all is exposed
as that, which they are
as thee, whom they are
that's why you don't see a lot of pretty paintings
...from blind artists
reality is none too pretty
and trust me...I've got a good eye

Depressed!

Once bouyant and alive, now deep down, down! A sad state derived, you feel mentally bound. Life was a utopia, now ha! no appeal. It's like a coma; alive without life's feel! Now the dead laughs; the grave now surreal. Their troubles now passed, you a derelict being! Everything thrown at you, yes, all at once. Up-moments are few, alive without the substance. Lashing-out gives little relief; tantrums escalates the depressed! Depression the emotional thief, it leave you upset. People things and places, all play a part; often neither leaves traces, treatment, where to start? Depression oh! it hurts; a soul in torment. A head ready to burst, depression is hell-bent!

The Sea of no return

The Sea of no Return

As she stands near the cliff edge, she gazed off into the distance
A ship is heading out to sea then disappears beyond the horizon
Remembering so well the sorrow and pain that she had to endure
Forever searching for the ship that disappeared into
The darkness of the night never to return
Her one true love lost forever to the dark depth of the sea
A breeze suddenly sends a chilling sensation over her
As she wraps her shawl around her shoulders
A voice echoes from the sea
The moon reflects her beauty upon the water
Yet she feels a sense of the unknown as fear grasps her heart
As the white waves slap up against the jagged rocks below
She sees an image of her lost love a smile comes to her face
She takes a deep breath and gracefully falls to her death below
At last they are joined in the sea of love

East and West

There is a peculiar air
It comes to me from the east
East is where “it” resides
Gaining strength in the open sunrise
It cascades and filters down toward the west
West is where I reside, with the sunset
Can sunrise and sunset coincide?
How I wish they would, oh how I wish….
If only sunrise could see what happens after sunset
“It” doesn’t see beyond its rise, so far gone within itself
Come to me, remove your veil and you shall see
Far beyond what you think you see….

More and less

More and more
I want to keep silence
In response to the said nonsense,
Less and less
I want to scream,
When someone's speech
Is a sheer rudeness.
More and more
The beauty that the nature breathes
Is clearly visible
But less and less
The music is heard
Since no one hears it ...

The Prisoner

All I have are words
All I know is thought

And the movement of time
Cannot set me free
I've been left behind

A prisoner to be
Unheard and denied
Searching for a key

The chains of day and tomorrow
Are but a spell in my mind
Freedom I ask to borrow
But my life has surely stopped on a dime

If a conversation to be
A date far away and unknow
The prisoner knows his tradegy

And if no one comes to talk
All I have are words
All I know is thought

Lord of Creation

Lord of creation
heavens above
earth and the sea
and unfailing love

lord of the mountains
the valleys below
upon the earth
we people do go

lord so mysterious
yet known unto man
ever since Eden
when the garden began

lord of our moments
teach us to see
something of love
that flows as the sea
