THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp - XXXIII - Rose rhyme

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part III: Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp ***
[ XXXIII ]
*** Rose rhyme ***

“Rose rhyme
In the night
- While birds
Of the moon
Raise tunes
In miss;
- Low choirs
In the grass
Praise Lord; –

*** Root ***

Rose rhyme
At dawn
When the dews
Throw sparks
Through the land
In which
All dress
Green robes
Of hope; -

*** Root ***

Rose rhyme
From noon
Till dusk,
- When the foal
Runs wild, –
For the wind
With flutes
Calls the muse
To weave; – ”

Talk to me

I don't know what will happen next
Am I losing myself,
Do I need some rest?
Every day lasts for me
Like a year
Friends are flying away
Only I remain on the earth

I've been waiting for spring for so long
I don't cry,
I can be very strong
We have only one life with you
I will wait
Underneath the sky of blue
Just don't be so silent
Talk to me
Doesn't matter
If it is true, or lies
I don't look back,
I don't have any regrets
Just don't be so silent
Talk to me

The Flying Dutchman

The Flying Dutchman glides on waves.
That image haunts me for many days,
It raises questions
And some quests work
Who is this strange wandering shade ?

Where is his harbor or his port?
Maybe he is reckless?
Maybe not.
Is he not too welcoming?
No, rather silent and strange .
Can he not come back ?
It doesn't matter anyway.
Is he a corvette,
Galleon, caravel or frigate?
Nobody knows it,
But yet I confess
He really exists
As a shade,
Drifting in my dreams

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp - XXXII - Sovereign into the bales

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part III: Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp ***
[ XXXII ]
*** Sovereign into the bales ***

“A mound
Of hay
- Is more
Than a
Great home
For the ants
- Which seems
To find
Their nest; –

*** Root ***

Each time
These bales
Are fresh,
Keen scouts
Come back
With news
And drums
Of joy; -

*** Root ***

Just a
Lil’ warmth
And moist
- Is all
They need, –
Whole kind
Then joins
To build
New states; – ”

Lost Love

I thought I found someone special in you,
But all you are is just untrue.
I demand a lot from my man, I do,
But I give it back tenfold, cos I am true.

Hard to know who lost out here,
Hopefully you cos you didn't care.
But dwelling on loss, I cannot do,
So now my heart must move on to new. ??

My life as a young girl

my dad was a farmer
and so was his father
probably even the whole generations
of his ancestors as he remembered

he told me all of his past
how difficult and hard life was
he hardly had a full meal when he was young
nor had shoes and or clothes to go to town

my situation was no different
same hardships and same element
in fact I remember it probably was even harder
I knew it very well I will never forget

but love and kindness my parents were full
they never ran out of compassion for one and all
they never complained nor expressed any disdain
for our being the poorest in the whole town

looking at our state, it made me think
I promised myself and told my parents
I would go to school, I would not fail
and change our life for the better

and so I did, with the grace of our Lord,
worked the hardest filled with courage
it wasn't easy my road was full of challenges
but I hurdled it all and never gave up

so here I am paying a tribute to my parents
to my ancestors and to the legacy they laid
no matter where I am and no matter what I have attained
I will always be grateful to the land I came from,

the beautiful Philippines, and to my parent's farm.

I will go home...

Note: My daughter Karen who is my eldest have always convinced me tirelessly to go back home and I am now set to do just that. Her family has decided to go and settle there for good and I couldn't be happier for them. Since farming was and is always be in my blood, maybe, that is my Destiny that is yet to be fulfilled to the fullest. I love farming and I will never lose sight to my past no matter how poor I was. I am still the same, only older and wiser, I hope. Thank you Lord for all the blessings you bestowed to us especially to my parents and those that were once as poor as me, but made it better with the grace of our Lord.

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp - XXXI - The song of the birch tree leaf

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part III: Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp ***
[ XXXI ]
*** The song of the birch tree leaf ***

“This leaf
Knows what
Is love –
Shares the bliss
When buds
Like twins
Cheer the spring
With chirps
And odes; –

*** Root ***

Here comes
The shy mare
To stir
In waves
The smell of
Meek grass,
While bright
Birch trees
Play knights; -

*** Root ***

I know
Not less,
Nor more –
But all
It takes
To write
Each song
For one
To miss – ”

Tears

the tears I've cried for you have welled up in me
from the bottom of my heart, and traveled upwards
on a journey to my eyes cascading like a waterfall
spilling down gentle slopes, resting in pools of azure
where love lives, sheltered from the worlds, alone
in mirrored reflections

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp - XXX - Sap milk

THE MUSE: EDELWEISS – Vol. I
*** Part III: Poetic Pillars – Monads: The Harp ***
[ XXX ]
*** Sap milk ***

“Strong wind
Whisk off
Thy nest
From this
Old branch,
In a
Mourn song, -
Wings float
In the air; –

*** Root ***

Through the cracks,
Small springs
Keep buds
In foil –
While keen,
Red ants
Move up
And down
Sap milk; -

*** Root ***

In these
Moon-like
Shapes of
Pale curls
And leaves
In furls,
Nurse maids
Wear gold
Ray skirts – ”
