HOMELESS ORPHAN

Tomorrow
ever full of hope
can never be

for it has no place on earth
yet dwells somewhere
‘twixt dream and expectation

It has no being
to call its own

A Bit of Me

What do I look for? What do I need?

I'm looking for kindness and honesty I'm looking for a bit of me.

I know everyone is different and no two people are alike.
But I'm very unique and hard to compare.

I dance , I joke, I paint but I cannot ride a bike.
looking for someone to do things with to be fair

Like people in the UK say I'm looking for someone who's a bit of me.

About this poem:
I use to watch a reality show and singles meeting singles but it was people from the UK. I love accents and I find them attractive. The girls on the show who meet the new guys and if they liked them or felt they were a match or had things in common they would use the phrase "He's a bit of me"

SIDEWARDS

I once kept a crab as a pet
but had not yet chosen its name
I wished to teach it how to speak
or at least emit a small squeak

So finally we got to chat!
I questioned it: “do you in fact,
move yourself sideways or forwards?”
Quoth it, “manifestly FORWARDS!”

I reflectively baptized it
“Progress”.

ECLIPSE

Their lips locked together clumsily then more gently in seeking
She knew of a lie that had been told Perhaps she had read it The passion of a loving mouth was not hot, but cool

In the breathing together with him she could not tell if he was calling out her name for her own mind's song was singing his on high

In the twining and grasping of their bodies on the bed of her joy the world she had known but a moment before had slipped away into a dream she might never recall

This then, was dying The stab of him splitting her into slivers of delight If his force was inside her she could not know for now she only existed as his pulse

No not the 'clouds and the rain' 'The roar of the rainbow maybe'

Smiling at the intruder-thought which robbed her of an instant of her ecstasy
She sensed the shock-waves of her surrender drawing near Bracing herself she arched raising her lover before her

Her crescendo came in a deafening storm eclipsing all her senses utterly.

2021

I had more hours than last year
I went to Maine and ate lobster and saw the ocean
I got hit in the head with a hockey puck after watching hockey for 30 years
I got a cell phone at the end of June and spent a ton of time on it
I found the song Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo
I visited my mom in the nursing home after she lost her house
I went to a Brewer's game and saw a lot of confetti
I went to Chuck E Cheese in Onalaska, Wisconsin and saw the band
I hope you have a fun 2022!

See the Sea

lost in the immeasurable sea
enclosed under sunken cofferdams
tossed endlessly we listed to and fro
prisoner passengers in fleets of
slave ships on odyssey journeys

the cargo of life drained out slowly
in swarms of unseaworthy vessels
as the tempestuous rains stormed
carrying us away to unknown shores
we cried out for freedom as the words
fell silently upon windblown sands
we still waited patiently for a parting
to begin again on horizons more calm

alas, we were awash in shameful tragedy
while we slowly gasped for purifying air
and penetrating clarity only seeing
white capped smoke spraying ashen pyre

suddenly under the calm night sky washed in moonlight
the distant beacon casting illuminating shadows revealed
a hidden gateway moored just beyond comber waves
portals opened awakening a witnessing to the deep
exposing all the crevasses of enduring love then
freedom was spilled into the tidal flow of memories
and we began to open our hearts and eyes to
see the sea

All we need is love)))

Do you want me to give you my love?
Yes. Give it to me...
First I would like to ask ...
Any question.
Suppose I knock on your door
I'll let you in.
And if I will cheat on you?
I will forgive .
And if I tell you: die! ..
I will die.
And if there will be a pain?
I will accept it
And if there appears a wall between us?
I will break it.
Still want me to give you my love?
Yes, give it to me
This will never happen!
Why?!
Because I do not need a slave))))

Love in the Flood

She wrote it in the night
salvation in the message
hope in those passages
like the words
of a thousand priests
fasting for the feasts
read it slow, read it slow
in the low light low
raining down the gutters
seeping from the shutters
love in the flood
after the sacrifice

She wrote it with delight
as the mountain calls the rains
free from the pains
like the words
of the shepherds old
come in from the cold
read it slow, read it slow
in the low light low
raining down the gutters
seeping from the shutters
love in the flood
after the sacrifice

Molding of Man

Molding of Man

I feel that if life were a loaded gun I'd run to it
No longer stuck feeling the pain, I'm numb to it
I don't think anyone's built like me, maybe some congruent
Not everyone can come to the flames and walk thru it
I've been in the lions den, I've been in the lake of snakes
That's why it's so easy to tell the real from the fakes
Hear my name trashed in a crowd, you're getting mixed reviews
I did some dirt, I might deserve it, let's not get confused
There's only one who's rightous and has the right to judge us
He holds the world in his hands without holding grudges
To some he gives substance, to others he deals justice
It's for us to decide where we take the punches
If God's son were a king and not a tyrant
Would we be teaching his lessons today or remained silent
Our sins are copious and evident but at the same time irrelevant
Cause every person has a sin they commit daily for the hell of it
The struggle is real and God warned us of these troubles bro
He built us all to be conquerors but also to reap what we sow
Look I aint tryin to stress ya or make you feel lesser
Remember diamonds don't come out shining without feeling the pressure

Megan's Story

Megan's Story:

So this girl named Megan, she was sitting on a curb

Analyzing a life that she didn't deserve

She was born with no money, her dad was always on the road

Her mother cheating on her father with a man that he knows

You see Megan was a free thinker, she had a mind of her own

She was popular in school but couldn't help feeling alone

That was until she met Chris, he was the man of her dreams

You know a good looking guy, captain of the football team

See Chris knew the game, he had a plan in the works

But to get what he wanted she had to fall for him first

Started texting awhile, called her baby and love

He would say anything, it was a part of gaining her trust

Then one Friday night Chris hit up her phone

He said come to this party instead of sitting at home

She was never the party type but she would go out tonight

He said good put on your clothes I'll be over in five

When Chris got to her house, he called said he's outside

She left thru the window and went and hopped in his ride

He made sure he told her it wasn't a great part of town

But she knew she could feel safe as long as Chris was around

Before Chris got to the party, he was making a stop

He had an 8-ball he was fixing to cop

He rolled up to the crib, walked up to the house

Then four dudes in all black with ski masks jumped out

They grabbed Chris, put a gun in his mouth

They said where the f*ck she at? Bring her up to the house

Chris walked to the car, grabbed her hand and said come

She told him she was scared, he said there's nowhere to run

They got her in the crib, told her to sit in the chair

She started to scream help but you see Chris didn't care

This was all the plan, Chris owed them a debt

See he was robbed for a G now he's paying them back

They tied her hands together, duct tape over her mouth

Ripped off her clothes and started banging her out

She was looking over at Chris and Chris just turned his back

He knew it was either this or he would die for a stack

They didn't stop there, one dude had a knife

And he had no problem taking an innocent life

When they were done, they threw her into a van

They closed the door and untied her hands

Drove to the park, dropped her off in the grass

Ripped the tape off her mouth, got in the van and they left

They thought it was just a f*ck but they had no clue

That little Megan, well she could keep secrets too

Tho she had died that night Karma still had a plan

And it was about to bite every one of them men

Later that night Chris went back to the crib

Five cops were waiting, they already knew what he did

He got twenty-five to life, with a chance of parole

He got what he deserved cause his heart was so cold

But for them other dudes, they got life with disease

You see little Megan was living with HIV.
