Is the Royal Family in any kinda real power ? I heard today they are just a public figure and have no power at all. That they have similar laws like the USA . And yes by Royal Family I mean the family of Will & Kate.

Ok.
The revenue from Royal lands paid to the UK is approx 200 million pounds. The cost of the Royal family is approx 60 million pounds. Tourism adds to the + column. Souvenirs from non tourists adds to the + column.
The cost of the US President and his family - approx $1.4 Billion
Thats how the Royals brainwash the public, to believe their cost is less than what the revenue is getting from the Royal lands.Who the hell gave them all those lands????did the buy them??? or declared those lands theirs by degree????

If you truly think that the Royal Family has no power then you not only have no idea how England is run, but you have absolutely no idea what is going on in the entire World and why it is happening.... Do you know nothing about history?? Nothing about the Secret Socities that are running and manipulating our political positions of power all over the World. May peace be with you.

Queen Elizabeth is also Head of State in Australia, New Zealand and other Commonwealth countries, here and in NZ Her Majesty is represented by the Governor General. This Act may be cited as the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act. 2. The provisions of this Act referring to the Queen shall extend to Her if Majesty’s heirs and successors in the sovereignty of the United Kingdom. 3. It shall be lawful for the Queen, with the advice of the Privy Council, to declare by proclamation that, on and after a day therein of Pointed, not being later than one year after the passing of this Act, the people of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, and Tasmania, and also, if Her Majesty is satisfied that the people of Western Australia have agreed thereto, of Western Australia, shall be united in a Federal Commonwealth under the name of the Commonwealth of Australia. But Queen may, at any time after the proclamation, appoint a Governor- General for the Commonwealth...
She represents probably the best Head of State any country could possibility have as she almost never interferes in the day to day affairs of parliament. The Armed Forces of both NZ and Australia are the armed forces of Her Majesty,
They have the power to ruin what's on tv. Will & Kate's baby ruined the viewing of not one but two major television channels for a whole evening. This a screaming outrage if you ask me. I know that television would be a much better place if only Cromwell had lived that little bit longer.

The Brits and lots of the Commonwealth seem to love them and it is their taxes who pay for them so more power to them. The idea of a privileged family by birth that the rest of the country contributes to and you must bow and curtsey to if you meet them doesn't appeal to me. But hey....each to their own.
Lets be right, they didnt choose to be born into that way of life. I for one wouldnt want to be in there position. Having met several of them,i found them to be polite and respectful to others, putting themselves out to talk to those that were not on the "list" of must talk to.
I am always amazed at how much the general American folk just love the British royalty - the sale of magazines that feature them - like Hello magazine is very very popular.
and I guess it is great to love a type of political power - because it is not part of how Americans politics is structured....
so as to if and what power they have or even influence in world events... I have enough trouble figuring out my own government
@rebel12 ......... If they did otherwise, not to be polite and respectful, as well talking the one's "not suppose to",then their popularity would be almost ZERO.-

Of course, didn't you know they are royalty now let's roll out the red carpet for your majesty Instead of singing "God Save The Queen" maybe it should be sung, "God Help The Queen"
Given the choice I would far rather have Elizabeth II as a head of state than for example a bit part actor suffering from dementia, or an alcoholic who claims to be on first name terms with god.
