I have heard the WORDS about obma health care and what trump wants to replace it with but all I have heard trump say ------it is the best------it will help everyone------i will replace Obma but would love to hear the nitty gritty of it all.

Brilliant mate. There's a vast ring-wing conspiracy against the NHS on the internet but for us we love it whether left, right or centre. Please tax us more to pay for our glorious and beloved NHS - that's literally how we feel.

Competition and freedom of choice we don't get it - but I don't think healthcare works like making trousers. there's prestige and a sense of determination without competition as is often the case with the humanitarian - but we also don't get the bureaucracy. There's so little red tape around our system and that's the big reason why it delivers so much more for so much less money. Switzerland has the best the healthcare system in the and more freedom, however, per person they spend 3 or 4 times as much to keep it going. If we spent anywhere near what others spent we'd have the best system in the world by a great margin.

BritishLondon: In bang for your buck terms the NHS wins out by a long way. We get an AUDI for the price of Dacia and some people will still moan, but these people were probably bullied at school - and rightly f*cking so.
Yet none of my arguments in favour of the NHS apply very well to Obamacare. Our system was designed for an island - the sea barrier is Trump's wall times ten. And single-payer could only be founded by an homogeneous and proud people. Diversity erodes the sense that a government and any of its institutions act for the good of all citizens the reason being that diversity has low trust and a very weak common conception of "good", the common conception of good being the root of all good.

The only good idea I heard from Trump was interstate competition, but even that may have a downside
Besides, Trump for years has said he wants universal healthcare. Oh, the last bill he pushed eliminates a huge number of Americans from healthcare. Trump stands for nothing that anyone knows of and for everything under the sun. Psychotic delusional, grandiose, utterly incompetent? No one really knows. In New York he was known as the worlds biggest thousandaire for awhile. No one really knows for sure but the IRS. Reagan swore he never dyed his hair jet black for eight years. America swooned. No one but his hairdresser knew for sure. Now we all know.
We have Medicare... I think it was during Bob Hawkes time as PM, the idea of a National Identity card was put out there. Nobody wanted it at all, the idea was put to sleep.
Then 6 months later, every Australian has a Medicare card with pretty much the same info on it...
Ambulances used to cost a fortune if you needed one, now an extra charge on our electricity bill (in Queensland) covers that.
And now they put ads on TV saying not to go to hospital unless its really serious, when you do go to hospital you'll be asked for a solid 15 minutes why you didnt pay to see a doctor privately (if you're of white complexion).
Also, they are trying to make private health insurance compulsory, despite many private patients being treated at public hospitals. And premiums are all age-based. For somebody my age to join now, would probably be 40 or 50 bucks each week. Optical/dental/everything else not covered, the only advantage being not having to share a room generally.
If you can sort out the downsides, and dont expect to turn any profit on the deal, its very fair socially.

lifeisadream: Hair color and Taxes ?
For some it could be equally important
I was jn a bad mood yesterday. A dirty little raccoon made a hole in my roof and enjoyed a warm attic. 2,000 in repairs and trapping. Not allowed to kill him or her with a shotgun. I have fought with a super nasty insurance agent six weeks. Now have new agents and a promise of fair reimbursement, raccoons merit coverage, squirrels and most everything else dont. My backyard has had a deer, coywolf, fox, many coons, and countless disgusting things. This yard is in the city.

ya need ta watch what you say,,,first off, i've seen a lot of human traits in critters...the most memorable is the old gray male coon with only 3 legs and his wife who used to bite him in the butt to speed him up to cross the driveway... funny stuff...watched this for years...i also raised coon who's mom had been killed; he left my house on his own after i padlocked the Frigidaire...
do you know if a pair of skunks are coming toward you at night; you're to stop & just stand perfectly still and quiet and they'll just waddle right on by you...without raising a stink?

Good luck with the insurance people.
(what the question was? )
Contractors here charge a fortune just to look at you, unless things are really bad. Wildlife removal, 1, 000 to trap and relocate, copper flashing over new plywood, fumigate and clean attic crawl space . Roofer ,1,000 to reshingle ,replace reverse fascia, and gutter.
Little stinker picked the one small spot on the roof where I couldnt see it from the ground.

You pay someone to trap and relocate a raccoon?
Racoon's are edible; and they'll come out at night to find the meal, uhhmmm bait you left out for them.
A bowl of leftover dinner, and the price of a bullet is a fair trade for 20 pounds of meat.
It's a good thing you live in America in the 21st century...

I agree, but Im not about to eat a city coon . Some of them, not all, are vicious and diseased. When we had metal trash cans you could see humongous obese coons on the street , wondered how they could run.
I feel that the AHCA was a failure. HOWEVER, it was an attempt to try and correct a major problem for the US. At least it problem was addressed. Up to this point, the GOP had ignored this problem of health care. With all of it's failures, at least now the GOP has been forced to take measures to realize and take action on the problem of health care. Up til now their heads have been in the sand. Recently a GOP legislator stated that no one has died from lack of medical services. This is further proof that the GOP is out of touch.
