They are all good with great messages. But for me it is Cool Hand Luke.....still remember chain gangs working the roads in the south in the 50 and 60s.
For me its "Sometimes a Great Notion." Local scenery, local conflict, great supporting cast. Although as someone mentioned, it's hard to just pick one. I also like "Absence of Malice" with Sally Field. Great indictment of the media and the first amendment sociopaths it creates. And he does a great job of getting revenge on Sally in it...
I voted for the "Cat on the hot teen roof",but I remembered "Road to perdiction".This is a very strong movie and altough the main character is played by Tom Hanks,without Paul there would be not such a good film.
i did'nt see an ''all the above''.....''hud'' was a good one....so was ''cool hand luke''....''what we have here, is failure to communicate''....that was a good line too....
