Many people have had a Near Death Experience. While they are clinically dead some have said they go to the other side and see deceased relatives and friends but a lot of so called expert scientists say that they are just dreaming while they are clinically dead. What do you think?

There is quite a bit of harmony in the dream. (If they were just dreams, then they would all be different, as all of our dreaming is. Many of these Near Death Experiences are strikingly similar. Too odd to just be a coincidence, if you ask me.

If you were dreaming, surely that would be a form of brain activity. So therefore, those who have had a near death experience, would be seeing something of the paranormal.

Near Death Experiences? Well, they're not Actually Death Experiences, are they?!
I personally believe its when the brain is starting to shut down and we don't know nearly enough to say why it happens or why people worldwide seem to have a similar experience...but I don't believe its a glimpse into the "next realm" or whatever....people believe that because its comforting but its not my belief...each to their own...maybe at the point of death our sub conscious pulls up deep memories and what is dear to us...doesn't mean they are there waiting for us...I don't believe they are but that's me personally...

chemicals produce same hallucinations. There is a chemical called DMT that becomes very active at birth and death. No one knows why its there or what purpose it serves but it can be found in all life.when distilled in large quantity, smoked or digested everyone has an out of body experience that is same as everyone else's.

wow. I did not know that. I did know that studies about recreational drug usage indicate that two people can take the same drug, and have the same "trip" together.

I've heard and even seen or read an occasional documentary here and there.
Some relate out of body experiences where they can see and hear everything going on in the room and to their bodies. Others claim seeing family and/or friends.
The ones that get my attention the most, are the people that claim white light and the extreme feelings of peace with warmth. Possibly with a choice for those that feel they aren't ready because of things unfinished in this world. Still, some have mentioned that it wasn't their time just yet.
Science can't disprove anything. Because they can't fully duplicate it; it must be able to be explained away. We are less than microscopic on the scale of the universe. Even though science can help with advancements, it will never have or be an answer for anything. It's too theoretical and too much we weren't present for in the past. Our scales for measurements and invention are built up on things we can use in our lives and times. They are not necessarily correct answers. They are just correct enough for our use.

seems the Substance is illegal under US Druglaws.
Controlled substance (hallucinogen) U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 21 Part 1308.11 (1985).

I saw the death lights and beyond that, oblivion.
It was very inviting and peaceful.
I also had a dissociation experience, or an out of body experience, but that was back in the physical world. That was about surviving the pain and heart failure which turned out to be a mind over matter thing. I had a lot more control and choice over life and death than I expected. I suppose that's why people are referred to as 'fighters' in extreme health situations.

you ought to look up the difference between a scientific Hypothesis and a Scientific Theory! Once a Hypothesis becomes a scientific Theory,it has been Peer-reviewed,and conforms to the standard of scientific Knowledge a that time! Doesn't mean it is carved in stone,it can be revisited anytime,if different Facts become available! Whereas Religion is a closed Book, not open to change!

@Stringman...
I'm surprised, given I'm not religious, how similar my experience was to the bloke in the video.
Although it was my choice to come back (I was giving birth at the time), to come back to the overwhelming pain was not my idea of fun. I felt a profound sadness and loss in the background for many years afterwards which I could identify, until I too read a story about near death experience.
We are, but the crusty old sock of our future selves and I'm okay with now.

Far be it from me to explode your vision of yourself as a crusty old sock.
The truth is no one knows what happens to us after death, our physical bodies and all the apparatus to live in this world do visibly die.
But 90% (my guestimate) of what happens in our universe is strange to us. Some things may be so alien to our existence we may not even be able to conceive them. There is no proven theory of what happens to our alleged souls, and the fool on the hill is as likely to be right as you or I. WE don't know capiche?

I sleep each night and wake each morning. Every day my body is subject to death but thanks be to God death has no mastery over those who are made alive.
