secretagent09: If two people meet on a dating site and they want to respond to threads and each others comments in those threads I don't have a problem with that. You don't stop communicating with the world just because you have a love life.

However, I have a big problem with my partner flirting with someone else. It's happened to me and it was another red flag.

Hiya M wave

It would be a big issue for me as well. I wouldn't like it if he flirted in real life either dunno

If I was in a committed relationship, I'd be focusing my attentions and energies on the relationship.

I see many people who are in relationships/Marriage on CS, just for the sakes of blogs and forums. If they are "flirting" with other members, that is their fault. Unless, they are trying to get out of their relationships/Marriages.

I am SINGLE, so I don't have those problems. laugh

Isn't it a bit suspect that someone who says they're in a relationsship spends so much time on CS flirting with so many, all be it harmless flirting? Doesn't say much for the relationship, does it?
That's just my opinion from what I observed.

What people do in their free time is of no concern to anyone, especially if it doesn't effect them personally. If someone is wanting to control someone to the degree that they can't accept them posting Online, that's more of a red flag than anything else.

I'm happily in a relationship, I post on CS and other forums, and haven't felt the need to flirt with anyone. My partner knows I post and where, and doesn't really care. She's just as content as she posts on her forums.

Just because we're in a relationship, it doesn't mean we have to devote every waking moment to each other. There's something called 'me time'.

when i joined cs, i was single. since that time, i met someone.
during the time i was single, i met several folks from cs in real life, and made several e-friendships here as well.
now that i am in a relationship why should i stop visiting them here on cs?

yes...it's a dating site. i get that.
a dating site with an option to make friends...
when i was single, i was inspired by the folks on here who had actually met a significant other here.
as long as folks keep their profiles honest and mention their intentions...what's the problem?

of all the things to consider on here...
i'd be more concerned about scammers, folks misrepresenting themselves, and a few who take free speech to whole new levels...laugh

Hiya jono, wave I get both opinions.

I haven't dated off CS since 2013 and looking at the type of guys (not everyone but the vast majority) I met LOCALLY of CS, I wouldn't want to meet anyone locally from a dating website. I only date in RL these days.

I have chatted to some interesting people internationally who I would love to meet (both genders) for a coffee - I would miss the entertainment and catching up with people on here, but if a guy would want me to stop using the forum and blogs, I would do so. dunno

I can only talk about me - I don't cheat, period. Being on a dating website wouldn't be the slightest bit of temptation for me if I'm with someone. conversing

Of course I would prefer spending time with that person and wouldn't switch on my laptop if himself was around, but I was with workaholics in the past. Would be nice to have someone around a bit more. smile
