I didn't vote. I don't see the big deal here. Large scale exercises are what the military does. I'm not sure whether the involvement of non-military agencies is even legal, but then the rules of the game always change and I can see the benefit (academically). On the other hand, I have very little faith in the use of untrained auxilliaries. That can lead to a whole host of problems.

So if we put the auxiliaries in a group, have a 'real' person come in and wave a pointer (wand) over their heads, doesn't that make them trained?

I mean we will print out a certificate for them and all that. Maybe even have them march up to have a Senator or a Mayor give them the paper.

How much of what Jade Helm will practice is usable in such scenarios?

My only criticism is this business of the plastic coffins. We lack the giant catfish of Nepal and India, but I think in anything involving a million or more sudden dead, it may be more practical to either borrow a page from Nepal and just burn the corpses and dump it into a river, or bulldoze them over. BTW, the Nepal cremation is not the American cremation. The goal of cremation in Nepal is to make the skull pop open from steam pressure. This releases the soul. At that point the body can go into the water (goonch catfish belly) because the soul has been freed. If the fuel supply is sparse it is not forbidden to help release the soul by cracking the skull with a rock. Most Americans would not have the fortitude to do this to a relative. Thousands of Nepali of all ages have done so in the past few weeks. Their Goonch are well fed.
