stringman: the way she did it was pretty easy. she would use vanilla pudding mix slice in the bananas. I think she would cook the crust first. it's been awhile.
top it with egg whites beat up till fluffy. through it the oven till the peaks on the egg white turned brown.
Yes, your Mum may have the sweet short crust pastry....great for pie desserts.....and it needs to be baked first.

yes ,I enjoyed Apples and grapes both , i took some pics and can share sometimes , there was a Sticker on each apple as well ,have to see the Firm /Company , I bought South African Black grapes as well , Both were Good

Old fashioned rice pudding. Homemade, no raisins, bakes for about 1.5 hours, includes fresh vanilla beans. Yum! Sigh, now I *have* to go find that recipe...

nomoregoodnames: If you can get them there try McVities Digestives crushed for the base. So good.As for favourite desserts, not sure I can choose between them all.
