rebel2: Always pleased to help
I have just finished my coffee on the terrace and it is 20 degrees, still and calm. I can see the moon reflecting on the calm sea.
Tomorrow I will stroll across to the café and have a coffee or two with a tostadas. Then a stroll down to the beach, a swim in the sea, followed by a tapas, just watching the local wildlife
What will I do in the afternoon? I do not know and it doesn't matter.
You will enjoy it, I know you will

Okay don't overdo it or I will wish I was coming to yours instead. Relative seems set on organizing every minute, there'll be little time for calm reflection and solitude. sigh

Minerva88: The reason why she's having a panic attack is because she's coming to see me.
I've offered her some weed as I've got some in the garden . But first she has to get here!
I've also warned her about all those Spanish men here ..and the stallions too!

So Pedal do you still think she's got no reason to panic ?

You never mentioned the weed in the garden wow forget our lunch date. We'll just sit in the garden and burn weeds.

I wondered - but it's only a 10 hour flight, it's a breeze. A doddle. You'll walk it grin Flying during the day, or overnight? During the day's good, they feed you every couple of hours and you watch the Sahara unfold underneath you between meals. Enjoy!!! thumbs up

Maybe he's thinking 'First World problems'..

doh
Sep 27, 2015 3:19 AM CST anxiety attack!
serene56: Hi Pete The term 'First World problems' is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the things that we in developed countries find concerning.

Delayed flights, cold lattes, slow internet connection etc.

Things that those in Third World countries will most likely never encounter as their concerns involve adequate shelter, food, clean water, medical attention, etc etc

Elegsabiff: in this particular case, going on a holiday I didn't want, with a relative who is counting on me, and the closer it gets the more panicky I get, and I don't know why.

Just wondered if anyone has had the same and what the outcome was.

It could equally apply to changing jobs, moving country, getting married, much more serious things ...

tell her the truth...could be that she'd be equally relieved to not have your companydunno

sometimes the anxiety we sense is actually bounced back onto us because there are tensions that are shared. You may not be the only one feeling it. Think of others too. You may be sensing what the other person feels.

In the unlikely event anyone does check back here - I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY INSTINCTS AND NOT GONE rolling on the floor laughing

Bloody horrible. Seriously. The social side was great but yikes the relative has chip on shoulder the size of the Empire State building and everything that ever went wrong in her life was my fault. Starting with me being born.

So next time I will know. Don't GO.

Just shows you should take more notice of you instincts you get them for a reason
hug wine

either or go or don't whatever makes you happiest. no reason to something voluntary if you do not want to.

If you want to go just go and remember that thousands of people fly in planes everydaydunno

I agree with Jac, the issue of your anxiety goes deeper than going on a holiday. If you really want to get to the reasons you will have to address that and dig a little deeper, wave

I agree with this also (and it's also wny I am usually against medicating such feelings). The anxiety could be a valuable message from your body or your psyche to listen todunno that you need to do something differently
