minnieme2: errrm...... it might have something to do with only being allowed 10 options and not 6,000!
You might be right. 2 of the islands on the list aren't very popular with tourist. So i guess, he picked the most tourist ones. It does happened to live in one of them.

I do not have any favorite because they are all beautiful, I have been only to Patmos, Rhodes and Mykonos but if I could go back I would look for the smaller ones that have not many people both locals and outsiders.
rizlared: Maybe, but Cyprus isn't a part of Greece, it is an independent Island, the topic refers to Greek islands
Who said it was part of Greece, the majority of the indigenous population are Greek and they speak Greek, although part of the island is owned by the Crown , ie England.
it is still the most beautiful island i've lived in .

That is up to the Cypriots, not Greece, most Cypriots, not the political ones, are happy enough with the British presence and the security that brings. If the UK upped and left tomorrow, by Wednesday the Island would be wholly Turkish, there is no way the Cypriot military could hold off the masses of Turkish soldiers that are based on the north side.

And what make you think, that the 2 British enclaves they can hold off the Turks if decide to invade Cyprus????And if the Brits had any Interest defending Cyprus, why allowed the Turks to invade in 1974.??? Tell you why!! Allowed the British colonial dogma "devide and rule". to someone else, to fill the gap, in this case the Turks..
