No I would not date a man with tat,s and I know many who have them and when men get older many have said they wish they never had them and what the tats mean to some men , just not my thing .
Of late I've said "All things being equal I' rather I didn't have mine." but now realizing it means I'll never find myself in a relationship with a women who wouldn't consider a relationship with someone because they have a tattoo, I've reconsidered.
Catibrae: Yep, I dates someone a long time ago and he had tattoo's. He was no different than any other man, he still put his pants on one leg at a time.
Hiya Cat
It is just a former of art, of self-espression. Although some are more artistic than others
well I don't like them really a little one maybe .see all the women now with them thinks its not nice all over their shoulders and neck some look like a snake getting out of the water .
On the other hand, would a man date a woman with tats?
In my case, generally Yes. As long as (as some have already pointed out) they are not all encompassing and have some artistic qualities. But generally it does have more to do with a good personality, a pretty face, and a delicious body (at least by my standards).
Myself, I have no tats. Not because I don't like them. In fact I designed a Celtic armband to hail my cultural heritage and personality. Trouble was the amount of money required to get the art work done (after all the bike needs new tires and I need a tropical vacation) AND the fear of not getting a good enough artist.

So this question can be viewed from both sides...
Obviously that is for men to answer, and I bet it would be some for, some against.
For most though, I would think that discreet tats would be favourable.
