Why was mick jagger Knighted and David Bowie wasn’t (10)
Much respect to Bowie for turning it down and turning down the OBE too

I don't understand why any performers are knighted for loving what they do and making squillions of dollars

Although Bowie and Jagger are both washed up Jagger went a lot further to hammer the point home. Both men should have retired young but there is no better way of declaring yourself dead to rock n roll than being knighted. Jagger like many of his kind became not only washed up, but a washed up reactionary.

Mainly because Mick danced way better in "dancing in the streets". Far as I'm concerned it looked like Dave had just had a hit of heroin or something.

They were probably both on something when Bowie's ex-wife caught them in bed together.This is verified true by Snopes:
