This is not a fight, Desmond. Some like Dude....want this to be a fight. They want a real conflict inside America. They actually use our freedom of speech...press...religion....race relations.....life style...... against the country and its people.
Why?
Well there you have to look to a larger geo political answer. A divided America, is a weaker America. Is the short answer. The long answer is it allows events in the world that benefit their ideology and philosphoy.
A good recent example. Is the Artic Sea. Let us say for a moment....this was a Russian Gov't covert operation to send
SAM-300s to Iran. OK? Some unknown thing really did happen in regards to the Artic Sea. Now with all the recent degrading of the CIA and other US intelligence agencies...if any of them "had the real scoop on the events of Artic Sea"....think that people around the world would believe them if the US intelligence went public? After Nancy Polosi called them liars? See the geo policial implications of having our intelligence agencies degraded and divided? Specially by ranking members of the Government?
That is exactly the kind of internal division that this group of foreign powers wants within this country. But I am not telling it to you with hatred or even anger.
But let us look at the opposite scernario. Say the CIA/Nancy Polosi debate never occurred. That the CIA got the real goods on the Artic Sea. Goes public or even just make very accurate and informed reports to the Obama Administration. A country that is not divided can accept those reports for face value....know that the agency has put together its best effort in making that assessment report.
Now you have a President that can act. Because he has solid and accurate intelligence to act on. Isreali PM and President likely both have made trips to Moscow in regards to the Artic Sea. Think that they are not trusting the info that the Mossad gave them on the Artic Sea and its cargo? You bet they are. They have too. Our President is in the dark....mainly because his intelligence agencies have been degraded.....by his own political party. Because division has been caused in this country along political lines of liberal and conservative. Along lines of race. Along lines of faith.
Fights are caused by the kinds and tones of words that are used. Words that degraded, devalue or ridicule. I disagree with many of
President Obama's policies and positions. But I am not even close to degrading, devalueing or ridiculing him....like Dude did to GWB and McCain last fall. That is later is just my opinion. Dude wanted the fight last fall, Des.....he was in school yard terms....picking one.

Anyone wish to navigate thru those 54 new agencies....that have not

Sure there will be some expereinced HHS health care staff in the 54 agencies.
But that does not get procedures and surgery approvals done.
There is a TV add running presently....saying that some 300,000 American women would have died in the last 10 years to breast cancer...had the country had the same health care organization as Canada.
That is what multiple and overlapping agencies do. They slow the approval process with bueacracy. Canada by the way only has 33m people. About 1/9th the population of the US.
Now let us talk about the $900b that this health care will cost.
According to President Obama...he will not sign any bill that will add a single dime to the deficit. That the $900b will come from cutting fat from existing health programs.
That is a lot of fat. If it was there...why has it not been cut earlier?
The COB, Congressional Office of the Budget, a non partisan budget agency....says that President Obama is off...that the real figure is more like $1 trillion. Anyone seen a government agency hold to a stated budget? Not for a while. With a weak dollar, how can President Obama hope that $900b will cover his plan? It is wishful thinking that $900b of weak dollar fat can be found in the exiting medicare, medicaide and other health care programs.
To be honest...there were elements I liked. I like the grouping of individuals and small businesses into markets and to allow them to buy from private insurance companies. I liked that the uninsured would be getting coverage. I liked that President Obama was open to health care tort reform. I dislike that the gov't would fine those without acceptable health coverage. I don't see Constitutional rights for that. Indeed...there is nothing in the Constitution on health care. But alot on freedom.
But on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being fantastic and 1 being extremely weak. I give it a 5 or 6. We don't see were the money is coming from to pay for it. We are still unsure about is size and complexity. And we don't trust gov't to run a massive health care program....when we have many gov't mis managed programs in memory.
Hang in there for better....America....is my advice.

If those fat red faced repube heads sitting there and called Obama a lier during his fabulous speech recently had not a propper helaht care program paid by american tax payers because of being ellected politicians some of them would not even be alive to sit there and shouting at Obama in the first place
Obama promissed that one day americans... all americans should be able to have a propper health care coverage as the members of the government and the House of representatives and so on and of course some american politicians whose lives and their families lives have been saved because of the same benefits are fighting so intensively agaisnt better times for the same people who are paying their health care coverage in one way or another being poor or rich but all americans pay any way!

It's so funny to me that we can't afford health care reform to take care of our own citizens, but we can afford to give hundreds of billions to foreign countries... even foreign countries who have their own VERY expensive nuclear weapons programs!

Well, in response to the original statement here....from what I've heard, they are trying to cut off benefits to people on social security...I was told Obama is doing this so that the elderly will be denied treatment. However, I receive benefits through social security as well....so I was told by my state insurance company that if the bill passes I will lose my health benefits as well as many others...not just the elderly. So I'm very upset about this because I have a pre-existing condition that if I have treatment refused I will die. I make no jokes about that.
