I am sorry to disappoint you, but most young woman who date older men, want their money, status, or just some other things he has. Really sorry about this, but it's true. Very few women really like to date 20 or more years older men.
I don't deny that most older men are wise, and more likely to be real gentleman, and they know many interesting stories to tell, many places to show. But those who try to act if they are still young and energetic as boys are so not good looking. You should have this in mind and concentrate not on your youthful appearance and behavior (because you will never look younger than young men:)) but on positive things that come with age: wisdom, patience, intelligence and etc. And date women who are capable to value these features. There are plenty of them. But if woman likes older men, she likes not that youthfulness you are trying to show...

I am 52 and my wife is 44 I think....I know ,Iknow she is a bit old for me ...but I still love her all the same....

My ex husband is 17 years older than I.... and I say this:

began to really matter later on.

Until my marriage ended in 2004, I had NEVER dated anyone younger than I was. I had always been interested in older men. My marriage cured me.

Seriously though, now I feel strongly about only dating men within 7 or 8 years of my own age in either direction... preferably even less.

About young people wanting to be your friends. That is so greek. I spent two summers in Greek islands (Rhodes, Symi and Halki). I was also very friendly with a man who was almost 70 I think. He was wise, he was full of love to his island, to Greece, and life in general. He traveled a lot in his life, he lived in US for long time, he returned to Greece leaving prosperous life, and began everything from scratch. Of course you want to be friends with a man like this. And all islanders were his friends. Everyone liked him. And if you also know how greeks respect older people.
But I never even thought about him like a man whom I could date. He was 15 years older than my father :)) How could I?

just want to verify whose older???????. You and your wife????? but it contradicts your words"but i still love her the same". Isn't that your wife's has to say that to you? cuz she's younger than you are.
Here's to older men and women. We age differently, and act differently. It's one of us has our own uniqueness and style. Some older men i find it vibrant on thier 50's and 60's but i don't go further. VIO is right!!!!. No perfume/cologne that can musks older people smell he! he! he! cuz i worked with the elderly. Esp. if the have poor hygiene. But not only that, most young women are after with those material things such as money, power, good looks and etc. If you don't have that qualities, then you have a hard time getting a woman younger than you. Unlike an older woman can easily get younger men 10-15 yrs. younger than her if she don't look her age. Bec the fact that women outlive men. So, good luck to everyone whose looking for beauty instead of friendship.
