ttom500: Dude tell us why the White House blocked the effort of the
Federal Sciencist on the amount of the daily flow of the
PB spill.

At the time PB/White House had gushing 210,000 gallons daily.
The Federal scientist wanted them to increse it to 2.5m gallonw daily. Later we learned it was in the area of 1.8m gallons daily.

I have my theory to why the GAO and White House blocked the scientist from gonig public...it might have something to do with
that $20b fund that in negotiations at the time.

Do you think that if the Gulf little people knew that the well was kicking out...near to 2.0m gallons daily.....that they would have filed for larger claims against BP?

But just thought you could give us your opinion.

If this is ture then I beleive the american government does not like to talk a bout some thing they are not sure a bout and they better waited until more facts were aviable.

20 billion fund form BP to cover the dammages is a great deal and became reality because Obama administration forced them doing so TT... Republicans was more than satisfied with a 75 million dollers only, remember?

Continuation......

Democratic-appointed judges are repeatedly ruling against any public manifestation of religion such as posting the Ten Commandments or reciting "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. Obama has lined up in favor of building a massive Mosque near the 9/11 site in New York.

When Obama publicly read portions of the Declaration of Independence on television, he ostentatiously omitted the key words "by our Creator." His failure to read the Declaration accurately means that he refused to identify Who endowed us with our rights.

Here is a very innovative idea: Republicans pledge to stop "forcing responsible taxpayers to subsidize irresponsible behavior." This is scheduled to start by "ending bailouts permanently, canceling the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), and reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac."

We hope this policy will continue by refusing to bail out or subsidize any more banks that give home mortgages to people who have no job or credit.

In another switch from current policy, Republicans pledge to enforce our laws to secure our border: "We will reaffirm the authority of state and local law enforcement to assist in the enforcement of all federal immigration laws."

Tackling another controversial issue, Republicans pledge to oppose a national 'cap and trade' energy tax. And Republicans will fight for the rights of workers by opposing schemes that deny them the right to a secret ballot.

The Pledge recognizes that providing for the common defense is not just a priority, "it is a constitutional duty." Therefore, Republicans pledge to protect the U.S. homeland from missile threats from rogue states such as Iran and North Korea.

I am about to break Dude heart and make him a conservative.

Am looking at today Wall Street Journal. It has a artice comapring the approval rating of GWB and Obama in thier respect terms in office.

Tougth President Obama started out with a higher approval rating at 68% to GBW's 55%. Within 7 months GBW zipps straigh up to 90% and Obama falls to 55%. GWB zipped because of 911.

That is where the graph comparison crosses. With GWB on the high side and Obama on low side. From there both of the trends is down. GWB is a slight steeper fall the Obamas. But that this point in thier Presidencies GWB is at 58% approval were Obama
is at 42%. GWB is about to get another big bumb. Jumps back up to 70% soon, when in the spring of 2003 the Iraq war begins.

If Obama trends continues....in 2012 his approval will be in
32% to 37% range. Were as GWB was at 60% after his first term.
Still strong enough for a second run at the Presidency. And a election. But is 32-37% strong enough for second run? Is it strong enough for election win?

Obivous that with changing of of the majority in Congress, this is going to only harder for Adminstration. Key issues that will give him approval points will be contested and not legislated unless bi partizan support is gained. HIs ability to force legislation thru is gone.

Not only that REP/Tea Party will submit popular legislation to the President for signature.....that is against his agenda. If
he fails to sign or if he vetos it, down goes his approvals.

So yes.....the 32-37% approval is a very real for him in 2011.
What do teh DEM do then? With only 1/3 of the country approving of him. Do they run him again? Or bring out a new team? There the question is really in Hillaries hands. To defned off Hillary goal of a Presdiency....he needs approvals in my opinion over 45% in 2011.

He got to have a bounce here someplace.....or we is looking at one termer.

But the big break news in the WSJ. Page one article/

Titled "Pakistan Urges on Taliban"

I said this was going to happen. That with us spending billions there....they would attempt to prolong the conflict as a long as posisible. Some time you hit a single and other times your hit a
home run in predicting stuff. This is a homer with two men on.

Yes even told GWB adminstration that this was going to happen.

We knew that Pakistan ISs and the Taliban were close. Musharreff
had made the Mushadeen for the fight with the Indian. So later when Russia invade Adghan.....it was many of the Mushadeen that Musharraf had organized...were now fighting against Russia.

Those old Mushadeen became today's Talabans....one Afhgan and one Paksitani....but both operating the Paksitani Tribla region.
But in either case...the Pakistani ISS knew them all...including
Mohammed Omar.

But wiki leaks supprts that and with the tanker attacks in
Paksitan onoing. How hard is to put a military seciryt detail with a tanker convoy?

The charge of this is being made by US Official and Afghan officials. Unnamed at this point.

Obama needs to look at this really carefully. Pakistan has the nuc. Sharrif one of the leader in the country, attempted to
Talibanize the country one time, according to Musharreff.

But there is lot of evidence on it. Captured Taliban are giving reports on it. If we start to see Pakistani weapons being used by the Taliban, I would not be surprised.

Speaking of which. At a border crossing with iran yesterday....
Afgan border agents found 22tons of explosives being shipped into the country from Iran. Cleverly desiguished as toys, food, and other commerical items. I have not heard were the final destination was yet.

So Pakistan is trying to under mine the peace talks between Karzai and the Afghan Taliban. And Iran is sending explosive in.
Time to up ramp operation Anaconda....into high gear.

Majority of democrats, repube heads and actually all americans are against this stupid fillibuster thing any way so why keeing it ? Democrats have agian and again told this old fashioned thing must be over even it can be bad for them selves as well once in a while. People calling it out challenging democracy and disturbing democracy and they say it is from years a go when America was not really democratc any way and special interests were more important than democracy it self.

It is exactly like at least 2/3 of republican voters and supporters are against the stupid DADT which is a true remanining of those who beleive America is a relegious republicn and not a secualr republic and fenatic preachers who not too many taking seriously... and still this end of days politcal movment in America Republican party of America still is against it and want to keep it and even making it wider and stronger.

Republicans are out of touch with many of their own voters as well but when the economy is bad then people behave rather strange some times and of course becoming blind because desperation is hard to mannage and families are in trouble unfortunatily.

Do you personally beleive Fillibuster is a democratic or a fair thing?dunno

Neo cons absoloutely love these numbers but still... just imagine america under attack at HOME! It gave a fabulous feeling of unity and solidarity amoung americans and democrats, republicans and every other americans or at least a great majority of them stood firmly behind the president of the country and during those years bush did not have to do a great job any way and just standing behind him was a duty for all americans and democrats specially stopped attacking Bushney heads and llowed them govern the country after that dark day of history of course.

A national duty and this is some thing Republicans should learn from and doing some of their national duty at least when America still is at war and under recession but do you?

Have told this before I know, but still be sure your guys are doing a very nasty thing during this time of trouble and if majority of americans really forgiving ur guys because of this out raged behaviour... then hey... some thing is definately wrong in America and there is a certain need for creating more new jobs and some body must help these americans who have lost their homes getting those back... it will be really interesting if majority of americans in the coming years beleive republicans will be best to solve these american problems and crooks and liers of the republican party have really received a lot oil money from arab countries and koch brothers and all other AH;s of that caliber, educating them selves becoming even better liers dunno
