The NBHR evaulates only this on one critieria. That is GNP growth or decline.
This recession and its net effect on jobs, which are still recovering slowly is little different than other past recesssions. They just released the first time unemployment claims and it bounced again.
Foreclosurers are still high. And there does not seem to be much consumer confidence out there.

I have been to countries with universal health care. The people got just as sick and were just as mortal as in the US. It was Denmark.
Right....we got a surprise coming for your universal health care systems....because this health care is going to cover special needs, put back the the money into the elderly and seniors and still give our adults lower premiums than what they have under Obamacare.

I beleive in no militray men on real power or as politicians... is the best choice for America and for any where else because militray men are best being in the military and no where even near to get too much power in a civilised country... a Hero or who so ever I do not care

Obama Prevaricates about Jobs
The spectacular loss of American jobs is devastating to more Americans than the oil spill in the Gulf, but Barack Obama still doesn't get it. This month he bragged to an audience of truckers in Hyattsville, Maryland, that our economy is "getting stronger by the day."
The U.S. Labor Department reports a very different picture. The number of long-term unemployed, defined as Americans out of work for 27 or more weeks, is at its highest level since the Labor Department began collecting such data in the 1940s.
More bad news comes from the Labor Department. In May, 431,000 jobs were added, but nine-tenths of them were government jobs.
Unemployment of young men is the highest in 61 years of record-keeping, according to the Center for Labor Market Studies at Northeastern University in Boston. The numbers for minority teenagers are tragic.
Obama's $787 billion federal stimulus program was packaged in mental images of construction workers in hard hats. However, most of those hired with Stimulus dollars were government employees.

According to an article in The Hill, the SEIU expects to spend $44 million to influence the 2010 elections, and AFSCME will spend $50 million. Most will be spent to help Democrats keep control of Congress and to implement Obama's agenda.
The best way Obama could create jobs is to cut taxes on those who create jobs (corporations and investors), but that's absolutely not his game plan. He wants redistribution of wealth from taxpayers to non-taxpayers and a larger percent of our population economically and attitudinally dependent on government.
The second best way to create jobs would be to stop importing foreign workers. Has Obama no regard for the 15 million unemployed Americans and the additional 10 million who have given up looking or are able to get only part-time jobs?

Am reading Joe Biden's book "Promises to Keep" Written in 2007. Interesting thing here is. So far in the read not one word on Barack Obama is in the book. But am not far into it. Now at the time of writing, Obama was on Biden's Foreign Service Commission in the Senate. Biden was thinking about making his 2008 Presidential run.

Obama wants to start off with new faces with the new Congress. It is likely a good plan....they serve at the pleasure of the President. Or another way of saying...here today and gone tomorrow.
People say give him more time. It is not him, but his administration of 5-6000 that missed the economic impact of not helping the main street early in the economic crisis. They just passed the $40b Small Business Act...for main street. It was needed back when they did the TARPII.

Besides....it does not matter. The ballot will clearly place that DEM
by your name. The voter will still that you are a DEM. And will vote accordingly.
But this is much like the DEM on anything. They take the position that they can hide a issue or spin a issue or twist it to make it less repulsive. It is one of the reason Washington is broken.
The DEM hearing on the financial collapse had nothing on Fannie and Freddie in them. Fannie and Freddie were DEM run quazi government agencies. DEM had done a fantistic job there according the hearings.
Fannie and Freddie are still trying to get $800b from the Fed government after taking $150b from it.

How often have we heard....the quilty by association argument from the DEM? Don't think that just he knows this guy or that guy, that he will be like them. He is his own independent person. That is why the incumbant DEMs are hiding their party affliation. They know that with President Obama as head of the DEM party, with their votes on TARP II and Obamacare pin them to him...showing party affliation to the DEM is also showing loyalty to him. So now associations do matter.
It is too bad associations did not matter in 2008.....when Rev Wright, Father Phefflger, Tony Rizzo, Gov. Blagovich, and Bill Ayers popped onto the political scene of the country. Then they were just innocent associations, while today association's to being a DEM and to Barack Obama is a association to your local used car sales man that has sold the community 100s of lemons.
