Certainly, what's on the inside is more important. However, I see them as ugly skin stains. "A lot" of them would be a turnoff. A woman's skin without tattoos is much more lovely.

Lol I don't think I have ever heard the term "ugly skin stains" before.
Everyone has their own "Type" of looks that they prefer. There is nothing wrong with that.
Just like piercings, I think they are fine but I when either is done to change the person in their eyes I am not so excited.
Probably said that wrong but if they were happy and liked/accepted themselves before they got them its cool by me. But if its part of not liking what they looked like or who they are and thinking it would change something or make them cool, it aint what I want.

Yes I have ink
I get what you are saying. I have wanted to get tattooed since I was 5. My dad is an old 80's rocker so he always had a lot of tattoos. I definitely didn't get them cause I wanted to be cool although I do think that some tattoos are cool. I am from a small townn in the midwest so before I moved to AZ I was one of the few in my town even considering getting one.
DecentHKLady: What if she got tattoo(s) of her ex's name?
I have a rule that no ones name would be on me unless its someone in my family lol. I have seen soooo many people break up after they tattoo their names on each other. Its a curse!

Well, you asked what we "really think".
Yes, I prefer the "type" of wonam that is a natural beauty, over those that are so desperate for attention that they cut themselves, pierce their face, stain their skin, and/or dye their hair with bright colors. From experience that "type" of woman has very low self esteem and/or intelligence. However, certainly there will be variation within the population with regard to the latter.

I think not really a problem if just fearing the side-effects. Nowadays, there are plenty of lovable tattoo stickers of varied rich design patterns available on ebay or elsewhere. They look real & it's just to hard to tell the difference, most importantly, removable guaranteed.

Forgive me for asking... but whats with the Women who have tatoos and no one is seen them because there are * hidden*? no attention seeking there
and for the ugly stain bit....... well.. if you choose a part on your body carefully they will never get ugly.. you do have parts on your Body who will never change...
I have three tatoos........and i m proud to have them..they are there for a reason. to mark a step, in my life, i had to cope with.

I do want to know what people think. You didn't offend me or anything like that. I just hadn't heard that first part so it made me laugh!
I agree. I know plenty of people who keep it natural who have low self esteem and lack intelligence. I also know some tattooed people who fit there too so I agree with you on parts of what you said.

So true. A lot of my friends who have more tattoos then I do have them all hidden. They are engineers, teachers, police officers, etc.

I personally don't have a problem with tatts, some of them are very unique works of art. If you consciously decide to get one then I'm all for it. However there are some that "wake up" with them after a long night of partying and are shocked. Then there are some that wish they hadn't for other reasons. A driver I had working for me years ago got drunk and had the Boston Bruins logo tattooed on his right shoulder. He came in the next morning still slightly inebriated and proudly showed off his new tatt. As I was looking at it I suggested he go look in the mirror. When he did he said "what's up, I don't see anything wrong with it" to which I replied "if you are looking in the mirror it should look backwards" and it didn't. OOOOps. I suggested he go back to the artist and have him put it on the left shoulder in it's proper configuration...that way it would look like it went all the way through his shoulders
He opted to have it made into an eight ball. May get one done myself when I draw up what I want.

I'de have to agree with JN here.............who wants to go to bed staring at a piece someone's idea of art-work ? An unpainted woman's body "IS" a piece of art enough for me
I think its just a matter of preference..Some people like tatoos some dont..I wanted to get one on my ankle once but my dad talked me into it because he said as a woman ages the tatoos fade and start looking bad..So I never got a tatoo and I get a lot of compliments because I havent..I dont mind if a man has one or two and have met men who had maybe a couple that were tastefully done but if a guy has his whole body covered in them i kind of think i wouldnt like that. just my preference
