The only two movies I've seen of the above are Jaws (which although extremely scary at the time, seeing it again makes me realise how unreal that shark looked) and The Exorcist. I hate really scary movies - have too vivid an imagination I think! They give me nightmares... One of the scariest movies I ever saw was one called "The Seven Bloodstained Orchids". We were at a campsite on hols and we kids snuck into the above movie, which was age restricted. It was quite terrifying!

For reasons i'd rather not go into, Jacobs Ladder left me afraid to leave my room the 1st time i saw it on video.
I can watch the movie now, but after years i'm desensitised, but when i watched it at the 1st time it triggered something i was unaware of and it scared the living crap out of me.
SickOfHurting: my mum wouldnt let me watch the blair witch project when i was little, i watched it a few years ago and it bored me
The aspect of the Blair Witch Project that made it scary was that a lot of people thought it was real. Quite a few people did think this when it FIRST came out. When you know it is all staged, it loses something
On your list the exorcist was the one that scared me the most. Or at least kept me up at night pondering the little girls head spinning around.
I found psycho to be quite disturbing with the shower scene. Every now and then when in the shower I think of it. And it gives me the heebie geebies. My all time favorite scary movie which I did not find scary was the Hell Raiser series. I really had a thing for pin head one of the characters.
