I see one big class action lawsuit coming here.....if ACLU does not run with it....some legal firm will pick up the slack.....

Ccincy: Looks like after reading acouple posts on this thread about two gentlemen who lost their jobs or can't get unemployment benefits I would say that that proves that America isn't recovering.Visited a mall acouple days ago here in Ohio and it was like walking into a morge.If not for the 3 big chain stores that mall would be totally closed.Mind you three years ago that particular mall was really thriving.
Read in the news some weeks ago that people who were laid off or let go from jobs which they had for a number of years were being required to go back to learn those skills all over again.

Ccincy, things are not that bad here. Mall of America is jammed packed. Everytime I past by the iPhone store or whatever it's called, that store is also packed. We've got "hiring" signs all over the place here, of course they may just be for Christmas.
I was in the liquor store the other day with a friend and it was chaos in there. People were buying the best liquor by cases, champagne by cases, expensive wines. These were no wino's. Of course, I've been seeing this scenario long before the holiday season approached. All I'm saying is that I do see a glimmer, but then, we have a lot of rich people here anyway, so that may make a difference.
So, my prayers are with the people in Ohio who are still out of a job and elsewhere of course.

katt1017: Don't forget that they are also allowing the amount of ethanol to be increased to 15% percent meaning more subsidies to be paid out with borrowed money, more fossil fuels burned to produce and process the corn, more older engines ruined(in cars owned by low income people) and last but not least higher food prices due to corn being diverted into continuing the economic and environmental lies about ethanol somehow freeing the US from foreign oil dependency and saving "Mother Nature".

Well..my mother owns the farm now since daddy died. I was raised in farm country and even though we had money, daddy was always the hands-on approach guy. We would get out in the fields and pick the veges right along side our workers. Daddy wanted us to know all about farming, he believed in being educated in every aspect and that included farming because farming is important.
Unfortunately, to this day, I still don't have a green thumb.
However that is fabulous news!!
