I heard earlier today, Washington promised to support SKorea with a military response. My gosh, I hope it more than surfacing boomer offshore of NKorea.
I saw the video images the Island that NKorea shelled. They raked the Island from end to the other. What ever was on the Island that they did not like....they intended to get. It was no small shelling....they laid in several 100s rounds...likely 5 inch ...that is their best gun. This ToT shelling was 15 to 30 minutes in time....depending on the number of tubes they had firing.
I know Dude, President Obama will have the proper and approraite military response.....yawning .....here......if it takes 14 months to figure out...the next Kim kid will be ready to be Premier.
He needs something now....tomorrow....something sooner and not later.
Figure this some. The NKorea shows the American sciencist their new nuc facility, then shells this island. They want a strike on that nuc facility. If Obama goes there.....they are going to find more anti aircraft than is healthy for any air worthy aircraft needs to have fired at it. We need to find other targets or other points for our military operations.
We don't want to lose people or aircraft over NKorea. Later they all become bargaining chips...either their remains or in prisoner negotiations. If we agress with aircraft, it is a act of war....and
the US just started the kicking match.
We have to be smart here. Yes, it is tit for a tat. But that is exactly how the Koreans war was ended. They would make a agression, we would make a agression. Till both figured it out that it was better to be at the peace table.
You say they are going to do the 6 party/Nkorea talks ...they do it now....it is like saying bully can kick you on the play ground and get away with it. Then the teacher forces you to give your lunch to him for a ransom not to do it again. That far east saving face thing. President Obama will lose more respect and prestige in the far east. None of us want to see that.
I have some ideas.....they need to be researched and sourced out....likely you will not see me around for a time.

The South is saying that they considering a massive response to the agression.
Two SKorean marines were killed and many other injured. Including SKorean civilians. Number unknown at present. Homes on the Island are burning.

The Pentagon is saying....that 'strong military response' is being planned, but not a invasion of the north.
President Obama got the call on this last night at 3:18AM. Both the National Security Council and the Joint Chiefs have met on the issue.
Right now....none want a esculation....but that make a big BUT....most are saying the South needs to respond in a manner. I have not thrown the book away quiet yet. But if those Nkorea divisions are massing and concentrating....we need to get the tactical nucs to SKorea...ASAP.
