They (the DEM in Congress) are talking a censure for Charlie Rangel. In other words....Charlie is the last they ask to speak on the house floor.
Still is a voting member of Congress...will still retire with full Gov't benefits.
Look I respect the man's military service, his work on civil rights,
his long time record of election wins and representation. But also he violated the trust of the voters. 11 conviction of 13 charges.....and that is beyond where there is smoke, there is fire theory. That is to actual burning wood.
Charlie at 80, should be let go from the Congress. Forced to resign if need be. He should not get full benefits but a sizeable fraction of them. Say 3/4th or 2/3rds. We are not country that punishes long time servants of the people for wrong doing offenses. But it needs to change some.
If any of us stole from our companies or from our business, they would fire us and end our benefits. If we mis represented the company, agian they would let us go. Heck if you talk honestly about a concern to having full garbed Muslims on a aircraft with you....it is cause for dismissal to some.

Mr. Rangel is a good man and have done a lot good for America and now facing sanctions because of his mastakes... fine with me and still Rangel is just a small fish comparing to the entire GOP and how much deep going corruption and taking money from foregin powers and BS they are involved in ... it really irritates me how good Republicnas gernerally are covering up traces regarding their crimes... According to this 11 dems voted no against the measure,while 21 Repubs voted in favor of the extension.
22 members of the House including 7 Dems didn't vote.
Tonight I heard on our local news that the unemployment benefits were blocked so now I don't know what's true.
