lion131: maybe you don't get any replies,or you just can't find anyone compatible on this site.maybe there is another reason? .so will we still hear from you in 2011 on this site?

I hate polls like this that just give CS more reasons to close the forums than they have already.

Whether to keep forums, or not, is up for review soon and CS have been seriously considering closing them from some time now.

The forums have served us well over the years and many people have met and got married, or set up home together, from here.

Many people, like me, only use the site to stay in touch with friends through the forums.

Instead of talking about what you don't like about them, why not just leave, and be done with it, and let people who actually want to use them, be here.

Polls like this just give CS a false idea that people don't like their service, when in fact the opposite is probably true.wine

I hope I didnt offend anyone with this, all those who know me on here know I would never use chains on a lady. That would be just wrong. I personaly am far better with ropes.....grin devil

gininitaly: Hmmm.... I don't, but my restrictions are tight.

As for staying with CS, why not? I'm mostly here for the forums anyway and I like how CS is set up for the most part.. used to use pof forums for years for a vent... but they have some strange rules that were annoying.

Besides here most of the English speakers live too far away to be useful anyway, wish I could find one who likes pasta and was willing to move tho.

True, I'm here mostly on the forums as well. I've met some great people and had tons of laughs. The reality is that I'd actually love to have a REAL RELATIONSHIP .... hence my thought to maybe leave and join some real groups of people where the possibility of something happening is greater. That's what I'm thinking.

society has changed over the years, we live in a feel good society, if it feels good do it. if you get tired of your partner get a new one.if drugs make you feel better than take them. but this is a little too cynical, dont be so impatient, good things are worth waiting for and nothing worth having is going to be terribly easy to find on a moments notice.
this is a good site,i see mostly women getting frustrated by scams and guys looking for easy hook ups but its easy to delete and move on. the longer you work the site the easier it is to spot the fakers. yeah i know the women get alot more mail then the guys but youll definitely make friends here if you are patient and look for real people. i like the idea of being able to talk to people from so many different countries, thats unique about this site. women are highly sought after and have to sort out the guys no matter what forum wheather bars or web sites or in public. be pro active and patient.

Personally I see nothing wrong with this poll. Just as in real life, there will be good/bad things to talk about. It can give people sometimes a new perspective and I think that all things should be open for discussion.

It seems to me that more men than women are getting kicks out of the site. Maybe they're less interested in finding a partner as opposed to enjoying themselves?

I know darlin'.... but those RRs seem to have gone out of fashion along with small pickups, souls, conscience and thought mumbling .

Join as many sites as you like.. no reason to quit here... not like the price is prohibitive laugh . But the odds are, it's all the same kettle of fish... been there, done that and trust me it doesn't seem to make a bit of difference. Unless you catch one newly online and hasn't a clue how to lie yet... doesn't take 'em but a minute to catch on tho and then they too get drunk of the illusion of their options. laugh

I didn't know that??? Well I think this is a GREAT forum!!! Much better than others I've been to, I often wonder why there is always this threat of a dating site closing it's forums... seems it happens everywhere mumbling... a way to keep everyone behaving or it really isn't cost effective?

It doesn't seem as if they micro manage here compared to other places and allow talk about just about anything... what could be better? grin

What I have found as an English speaker living overseas, is that these forums are vital to my mental health uh oh ! Sometimes or many times you need to escape the cultural mores of the country you live in and want the patter of those old ingrained thought structures; silly, irreverent or as earnest as they may be. This could be true of the housebound or the country mice as well I suppose. They also give a place where people can actually discuss what's on their minds about this whole online world... or maybe that's exactly what they don't want us doing laugh laugh laugh.... let the illusions live on! doh

They actually really do fulfill a definite public service as well as making new friends and connecting people romantically on occasion.

3 cheers for CS forums cheering cheering cheering

That bit of interaction says so much as to why the forums work well.

A gentle no thanks with good humour and style thumbs up grin cheers

I like the forums even though some threads get a bit heated they work well. As for the folk who lie theY give me a laugh, a few folk from here have me not always on a date but as a group and that I think is a bonus. I enjoyed meeting a few from here and have formed a friendship with a few and I have I think a few "virtual" friends as well ...As always JMO..grin cheers

Good post. I think the reason is that it is not cost effective to keep it on track, because they are answering complaints constantly, people reporting threads or posters etc., for not obeying rules..... bouquet

Very true, and IME CS is actually better than many of them considering that is 100% free.
As per the scammers, well, if you think about all that the site offers they are a minor issue really, IMO.
