neversaydie: It seems to me that more men than women are getting kicks out of the site. Maybe they're less interested in finding a partner as opposed to enjoying themselves?

well, for myself anyway, it's nor so much that I'm less interested in finding a partner, it's that I want to enjoy myself doing so

I don't want to find a partner by inspecting one man after another as though I were at the cattle auctionlaugh

I would just like to happen upon him (or him happen upon me) among friends being sociable - as close a parallel to a live situation as possible - otherwise it's just too much of a meat market on here

OOOOOh -the stories I could tell...wow but won't

GingerBe: I hate polls like this that just give CS more reasons to close the forums than they have already.

Whether to keep forums, or not, is up for review soon and CS have been seriously considering closing them from some time now.

The forums have served us well over the years and many people have met and got married, or set up home together, from here.

Many people, like me, only use the site to stay in touch with friends through the forums.

Instead of talking about what you don't like about them, why not just leave, and be done with it, and let people who actually want to use them, be here.

Polls like this just give CS a false idea that people don't like their service, when in fact the opposite is probably true.

C S has close the forum before shut it down for awhile.but like it or not this is freedom of speech like it or not.all members of CS has the right to come here and express their beliefs, ideas, opinions and views.it does not matter if someone agrees with them or disagree with them,if someone likes what they are saying or they dislikes what they are saying.it all comes down to this all members of CS has the right to come to the forums and express theirsevles,no one has the right to tell them what they can say or what they cannot say.the only ones that does are the MODS and they will do their job when they have to.we all are suppose to read and remember the rules of the forums but some of us do not.

we all should remember the price that has been paid for our freedom and one of them we use here, freedom of speech.maybe if we all try to respect each other's freedom and their right to freedom of speech. the forum will be a better place to come to and a place we all will enjoy coming to peace cheers

langleygirl: Personally I'm getting tired of the scam mail. That's all I seem to get in my in-box these days or men who don't know what they want.

When I get scams in my in-box, I leave it there and usually the user is deleted the next day. If not I delete her myself, it does make it hard to decide who is really looking for somebody and who is a scammerconfused

Yes, there have been a few that I've not responded too, and they are still around, but all my instincts are screaming scammer, scammer scammer. There are now the odd ones who are actually more genuine in their approach, but you still need to pay attention to the details. Ask for their email address first, do a search, and see which area it comes up as being registered too. Problem with that, though, it that they could also be legit. I tried it with my own last night because I was curious, and my yahoo one came up as California and my hotmail one came up as in the US too. So now I'm wondering is it because these businesses are based out of there? I've got Telus internet, but don't actually use the email service ......... so in theory, someone could think that I'm not legit. I guess my option would be to skype with them if we ever got that far. Its actually very rare that I do correspond off site, simply because I don't want people to have access to my info.

lion131: maybe you don't get any replies,or you just can't find anyone compatible on this site.maybe there is another reason? .so will we still hear from you in 2011 on this site?

The Forum is sometimes great fun and I had some laughs.
As for finding a partner on the forum it's another matter.
In most cases the distances is wast and to many have been burned by idiots and scammers.
I don't want to live my life online, it's difficult to find time and other things needs to be adressed.
I'm a genuine person willing to travel but at the moment not looking for a relocation.
I don't like Swedish women that much, they being a little bit to feminist for me.
That's why I'm here.
If you are not really looking and are only killing your time please say so right of the bat in private conversation.
No need to waste time then.professor
Other then that have a good time on CS and remember that about half of profiles here are dead links so without the forum I would most definetly get out of here.
