I had a telepath message from a person in New hampshire. Something spirtual was going on. I called her up and she confirmed this. This is no joke. Very serious here. I guess you can call that a trance. She was taking pictures in a grave yard at night with cirles in the photos with facinating paranormal bizzare things.

Not sure your experience is called trance. More like thought transmission. I have a friend with whom I can do that.
The circles in the picture are called orbs.
I believe a trance is an altered state of conciousness. Depending how deep in trance you are you can be completely unaware of what is going on around you and don't have any memory of what "happened" when you come to.

I would say that I went into a trance on the operating table when the anaesthetic didn't work.
I was acutely aware of what was going on, but I removed my some of my consciousness from my body to avoid admitting to the pain.
I was aware of what was going on in my body though, to the point where I was deliberately controlling my heart, blood pressure and bleeding in order to survive. I know I was doing this because I remember the confusion of the anaesthatist that my readings returned to normal at a point where they were expecting to have to resussitate me.
I remember observing myself and thinking, "Aha, this is how people have surgery under hypnosis!"
Although I had part removed myself from my body, it wasn't exactly an out of body experience, either. The only way I can describe it, was it was like my ghost was lying next to me, but half overlapping me.
It was an incredibly interesting experience, but it did hurt quite a lot.

Thanks for sharing your amazing experience Jac.
The mind is amazing and you can get your body to do anything you want. As you know. The method you used during surgery you can use to get rid of any ailments, aches, infections etc. without using medication. And who should know but you!!!!
I think under normal circumstences you would have lost conciousness in order to cope with the pain. Sometimes the mind releases endorphines so the body doesn't go into traumatic shock.
May be you experienced a part out of body experience. OUT enough not to feel traumatic pain, IN enough to controle your organs.
If it had been a full out of body experience you'd have been floating somewhere at ceiling level and be observing what was happening to your body below.
You were defenately in an altered state of consiousness
I already thought you are an awesome person!!! Now I KNOW you are!!
chris27292729: Trance or a "sorcerer" in Carlos Castaneda books.-
OMG whatever really happened to this guy? I've not heard of his mention since the mid 70's when he was experimenting with (uh) stuff; like chasing dogs on all fours while using peyote out in the S.W. part of the U.S.A. Castaneda's works were presented as real-life accounts of his pleasures and otherwise experiments.

That had to be a frightening experience. But on the other hand, it had to be awesome. I wonder if your "ghost" had completely overlapped you, would you have passed over? Glad you didn't.
chris27292729: Read about him by Coogle "Carlos Castaneda"
hahaha I did google him. No one is sure whether his native american indian friend, which he named Don Juan, was real but his domesticated bilingual coyote was real and interesting. hahaha

It felt more like the other way round - if my "ghost" hadn't have overlapped me, it would have been an out of body experience.
The "ghost" of me was my conciousness. I deliberately made a ghost arm come out of my real one so that I could put my hand inside my rib cage, grab hold of my heart and make it beat regularly and with strength. I remember the nurse grabbing the paddles when my heart felt close to stopping, but the anaesthatist pushing her back with one hand as he realised that my functions were returning to normal. I got there before they did.
Obviously all this stuff was in my head, my imagination, but it worked.
Recent research suggests that pain relief is linked with psychology quite significantly and goes beyond the placebo effect as it is commonly viewed.

WOW!! yeah I know you can convince yourself that you don't hurt and I have seen that. I'm not so sure it was an imagination. I believe in the power of the mind, and I have seen some strange things. I just have never hear it before first hand. Thanks for sharing this. Very cool and very interesting!!!

Imagination is part of the power of the mind, isn't it?
Who wants to find out???? his books were interested especially " A separate reality".

As a matter of fact,I have..... Reading Mcpats and Miss Daze´s comments, makes me sleep...or go into trance..out of sheer boredom,really...Yepp,I know allabout it...
I haven't gone into a trance (if the OP is referring to hypnotism). Years ago my former employer "suggested" that I see a hypnotist to get over (or better deal) with a certain phobia.
In the session, the doctor couldn't put me under. Something about my willpower and that I couldn't completely trust him. But the doctor rephrased and told my boss that I was too stubborned and un-trusting.
I never got cured, my phobia did cause me to lose a good job, but I have things in check on my own. You know, with my will. lol
