) I live in an area that gets their fair share of hurricanes and am familiar with the after math and what goes on. I think the delay was not due for the reasons you have read
It is hard sometimes to make order after these events. And yes it does take sometime. Actually in I think it was 2004 we were hit with back to back hurricanes and it took them a couple of days to get to us. Freaked me out how they come in my area. Sevice men with loaded guns like we were criminals. It saddened and scared me. But even though so far I have never needed the help afterwards I know many that did. It would sadden me if it was not there for me if I needed it. And then it would anger me. But I think it will always be here for those that need it. Still many americans are talking a bout Katrina and the aftermath of it. Former governer of Neworleans have told the same and a lot necessary effrots were delayed and set a side back then and this became one of the main reasons Republicans lost election back in 2008. Reading many Republicans now on days and the way they talk a bout these new disasters making one sure that these guys do not care much when it really counts and when people really need help and support of the government. It is so fabulous you have been able to rebuilt your life after natur disasters and it is fabulous to know you really care a bout others maybe not able to take car eof the situation them selves and then needing help and support of the governmnet.
Yes... some people are more able to take care of differnet situations in life and some others can,t... that,s the main reason why a strong social welfare program and general support from the government if needed, is more than important in any modern and democratic society. Back in Jesus's day there wasn't republicans or democrats, especially in the part of the world Jesus lived. It is my understanding that that part of the world to this day does not vote republican or democrat. Maybe you should think first before asking your questions Dude.

The problem you have is this....
The DEM and Obama spent so much money in the first 3 years of his administration.....they financially broke the country. The debt limit has been reached. Now FEMA gets hit with the massive bill on the midwest tornados.....it has a small contingency fund....but not enough to cover the billions needed.

DEM fiscal mismanagement is causing the problem here. They had to spend money on the CA Field mice...on the bike path around a lake
in Texas....on duplicate traffick lights in Los Angles. So the money is gone.
There are some local communities that have been hit....that are refusing FEMA trailers. They knew what happened in New Orleans....were FEMA never returned to build the new home....and left people in trailers. They simply don't trust the Obama administration to keep it promise here.

Actually the problem America have is this...
The filty rich America keeps cheating in taxes and receiving countless numbers of tax cuts from the dang GOP and then when GOP seeing a natural disater striking America ... GOP gets scared and trying it,s best to stop America asking THe question a bout why on earth Rich America must not paying more in taxes so there is enough money for helping americans in need?
As long as youe bloody guys are able to run their bloody show... even Red states are going to suffor much more than they should in a rich and strong and modern country as US of A.

President Obama promisses federal support for rebuilding hurricane destructed areas in America.(Vote Below)
During these threads I have always tried to point out that the Republican party of America have lost it,s original values and have become a movement where common sense and decent behaviour is not important no more and the one and only important for these guys is making sure tax cuts for the rich stays and the amount of money to earn with out paying fair share of it back to the country raises furter more.
These unbeleivably indecents regarding GOP and their irresponsible behaviour dictated by the GOP and their filty rich masters have no limits and the amount of carelessness of the Republican party becomes more clear and this movemnet keeps absusing the rather weak american economy and the amount of frustration of many americans making new anti human rules and regulations making sure their irresponsible and absolutely STUPID anti tax agenda getting furter strength.
When hurricane Katrina affected NewOrleans the government of back then leaded by Geroge W Bush did not do what it was supposed to do and the efforts were delayed several times and pastor Hagee,s Evil words a bout NewOrleans deserved that disaster because "god" wanted them punished becasue of Gays over there and BS like that... became the "law" of the land and GWB regim abused the confusion and some fenatic relegious americans way of beleif, in order to make sure keep saving in federal budget and keeping their STUPID tax cuts for the rich!
GOP tried major time back then keep denying Global warming and it,s effects on bigger and bigger natural disasters and GOP is doing the exact same to day and even more of the same cause GOP is not able to GET any thing right what so ever and this movemnet have Never Ever been based on science and knowledge and reason , but on Ignorence and hatered and greed and lies and betrayal and cheating and not a thing else.
GWB delayed federal help to New Orleans and now the rest of the sad and mad remanings of the same Bushney,s Evil Empire are trying to do the exact same regarding other disasters and the dang GOP wants the federal help to areas attacked by these hurricanes becoming possible only if other necessary effrots are cutted down and more tax cuts are given instead.
GOP wants taking billions from research specially on Global warming to be removed and GOP wants people using their own savings in those areas rebuilding their livesand other horrible hilly billy BS just to make sure keep cutting taxes for rich America... and for sure THEY are heartless and anti american and have no legitimate reason to beleive that majority of americans have become so careless that they will vote the GOP in next time having an opportunity.
This planet of ours is surely fabulous! Balance of natur is fregile and more polution made results in bigger natural disasters as Hurricanes and this fact censored and neglected and denied by the GOP does not disapeer what so ever and the threat stays.
America got to make the GOP understand that their scarey ideology is not representing real american values and a movemnet which hates the guts of own country men unless being a wealthy GOP endorser is absolutely out of touch with America and horribly dangerous and THEY better being sent out of any influence and satying far and a way from possibility of regaining absoloute power in America.
