sorry Freddy but it was about what huge welfare bums the koch's are
while they pour money into the teaparty.also wasnt the auto industry loan a life saver for american workers and profitable for the taxpayer?oh, i'm sorry, you conservatives are only interested in getting even more tax breaks.
Day is done. Gone the Sun. From the lakes, From the hills, From the Sky. All is well... Safely rest. God is Nigh.
Fading Light. Dims the sight. And a Star. Gems the Sky. Gleaming bright. From afar. Drawing nigh. Falls the night.
Thanks and praise. For our days. Neath the Sun. Neath the Stars. As we go.... this we know. God is nigh.
When Dude says that the US is a secular country without a God, it like saying the ocean does not have water in it. God's relationship with our founding fathers and our fore fathers is well documented in our founding documents and even the lyrics of songs such as TAPS.
From that context, Dude and liberals misconstrune the entire radical Islam conflict with America. Radical Muslims know that America adheres to the real religious freedoms. Granted in the Constitution. That in doing so, America is "the great threat" to the Sharia law that demands conformity and subservence from Muslims. Hence to Supreme Leader Khomenie...America had to become the 'Great Satan'. He had to discredit the faith American have in God and in their fellow Americans.
Every time Dude does his....REP are bad bad bad...he only endorses Khomenie's words. He sides with a radical Islamic leaders that would call you and me....evil. He would side with a country of Iran.....that post 911 was that was citing the Shia creed in secret Tehran services in an attempt to send those innocent Americans to dark place. Capt Elli son's had the answer for Dude and Iran Khatenie....God is nigh.
American might raid into bin Laden compound and kill him. But we did not conduct a religious service to send him to hell. He was given a Muslim ceremony and burial at sea. If bin Laden's Alla permits, today bin Laden is in Paradise. Were radical Muslims because their religious ideology (Shia Creed) and Sharia Law feel they have the ability to determine if someone is sent to hell. They can make this mortal decision of man's souls here on Earth.
Our Judeo Christian faith says something totally different. That only God has the ability, wisdom and the power to make that decision on a person's mortal soul. There in is the real difference and the conflict between Islam and the west. This is a struggle about life, death and mortality. Long term mortality of were ones soul ends up. Heaven or hell.
For Khomenie.....all Americans should go to hell. For Khatenie those 3005 American killed on 911.....should go to hell. For them both good Shia ...should go to Paradise. For bin laden ...good Sunni should go to Paradise. For Dude....bad REP should go to hell. For Dude ...good DEM should go to heaven.
Such child like thinking is what is causing all the religious and political conflicts in the world. Unlike the love of money, it is attitude of deceit and judgement. And it is just as deadly as the minnie ball that took Capt. Elli son.
Secular does not mean with out "god" TT and just means the country is not runned by old relegious fenatic guys who are using a book written tousands of years a go by several guys who no body knows who they were for real and will never know either!
Your end of days Hagee likes are NEVER going to get the presidency or major power making America a mini Saudi liked BS states I promise you
What,s up? Had a dream a gain? What did you Eat before gone to bed ?
Well, I for one, do certainly oppose legislation to regulate CO2.
It's not a pollutant, it's the ordinary by product of respiration and of the oxidation of organic matter. More CO2 is produced by the decomposition of dead vegetation than man could ever imagine producing.
Every volcanic eruption emits more CO2 in a few hours than man produces in a year.
And despite all the various natural and manmade sources, CO2 constitutes only 388/1,000,000 of the earth's atmosphere.
Besides being only a small fraction of the atmosphere, although CO2 is indeed a greenhouse gas, it is not a very active one.
The most abundant and strongest of the greenhouse gases is water vapor.
CO2 is in no way causing the earth to warm. If the earth is warming at all it is the sun doing the warming, as always. Climate fluctuates continually and earth's temperature correlates perfectly to sunspot activity.
The earth has been much warmer and much colder than it is now, and the world didn't end.
I don't think taxpayers should support any of the "global warming" tax legislations. They are all boondoggles to justify taxe money from the people and they cannot in any way stop the earth from warming. Nor is there any reason to think that the earth shouldn't warm. The medieval warm period was a prosperous time for humanity. And it had nothing to do with CO2.

I'm about 70% in agreement with what you have to say about regulating CO2 and volcano emissions. But, out of curiosity, why are you so hateful of the U.S.A.?

To the true believers Gore is a scientist even though he is not. They also see any true scientist who does not tow weird Al's line as not being a scientist.
Why?
Because they have never learned deductive reasoning or even how to think for themselves. Instead they have learned to seek the reward of approval from those that tell them they are the superior class.
If you have ever attended a US Military Funeral there is a point in the service were a single bugler plays TAPS. Few know the story of how Taps became this most solemn of all military dirges.
Here is the story.
It was 1862, near a small battle field of the Civil War called Harrison Landing. Capt. Robert Elli of the Union forces had his troops entrench on a dark night facing the entrenched southern across the no man's land.
Out in the dark in the no man's land laid a wounded soldier, moaning and crying for help. Capt. Elli did not know if he was Union or Confederate. But decide to crawl to his assistance under the fire of the southern forces.
As he reached the fallen soldier, he began to drag him back to the Union lines. Once reaching the Union lines, they shined a lamp on the now dieing man. To realized he was a Confederate soldier.
But to Capt. Elli, the dieing soldier was much more. He was his son. His son has been in the South studying music when the war broke out. Unknown to his father, he had enlisted in the Confederate army and now was here at Harrison Landing. Now laid dead at the feet of his father.
Heartbroken, Capt Elli requested that full military honors be given his son. Including a full band. That was denied because he was a Confederate soldier. Instead the Union command gave Capt. Elli one musician. He choose a bugler. The music for TAPS was in the pocket of Capt. Ellie son's uniform.
That is the story of TAPS.
Nice story, but it isn't true. Taps was adapted from an earlier bugle call by a guy named Butterfield.
Modern bugles used at most military and burial ceremonies have a loud speaker and recorded tunes built into them. The ceremonial person holding the bugle really doesn't need to know how to play taps or other relevancies anymore.
galrads: I'm about 70% in agreement with what you have to say about regulating CO2 and volcano emissions. But, out of curiosity, why are you so hateful of the U.S.A.?
I'm not "hateful". I'm just not deluded. But that looks like "hateful" to those who are.

Back in my boyscout days I was a bugler and played taps (and other calls) at campouts, big meetings, and special ceremonies.

isnt it wonderful we have a few incredible people like you who can think for themselves - yes, it is you who are truly "the superior class, even a superior race in fact. Sort of a super race.

What a lovely little petulant tantrum!
I'm sure all of your little imaginary friends will be so impressed with you.
^ this is 100% correct. The story stated by ttom, actually was an email chain letter (origins unknown) that floats around the internet about a Capt. Robert Ellicombe (as you see there are even variations of the name)and his son...However, there are absolutely no known records of any such officer serving in the Union forces by that name.

In doing a little more research, I think you are right. General Butterfield composed taps....and had his division bugler first play it at Harrison Landing. The Bugler, a Private Oliver Wilcox Norton later gave witness to this.
After the war, Norton gave a full accounting of the song composed to Gustav Kobbe a music critic and historian. Norton also said that TAP was being done by both Southern and Union units. Carried as far west as Chattanonga by Union divisions that had been deployed from Eastern threatre to the west. TAPS did not become the offical dirge for burial and end of day cermonies of teh US Military untill after the war.
So we have the romantic and fabricated version, and the real and honest version of TAPs posted in Dude Obama thread. Much like the politics of today. Anyone want to talk about John Edwards now?
Hey Dude a question......is going to take 12+ years to get Qdaffi? The reason I can ask.....Kosovo was in 1999 and has been 12+ years bring Milosvoic and his henchmen to justice in Europe. With NATO running the Libyan show.....it seems like a very possible outcome for Qdaffi.
GWB had knocked Sadam Hussien out of power in 21 days. Though it did take a year to catch him. But you have to admit that is better than 12 years.
raphael118: isnt it wonderful we have a few incredible people like you who can think for themselves - yes, it is you who are truly "the superior class, even a superior race in fact. Sort of a super race.
ttom500: The point is still made. Everytime you ficously attack GWB or his family (most all military serving mind you and decorated in the case of his father)....you just support the 'Great Satan' position that Khomenie attempted to make on the country.
By the way....while we do question the origins of the music to TAPs. What is not in question are the words to it. Those invoking God's nigh. Interesting that both the south and north in the civil war could use the same bugle song for a burial or end of day service.
But Dude here wants to makes two Americas.....one hated around the globe for its support of Conservatism and one loved around the globe for its liberalism. While our civil warring fore fathers, could play the same music for death. And shared so many a common bound in faith, in battle and in life.
I got a life...I enjoy it lot.
well,he's gonna find out now, that Obummer is getting the same respect the Libtards gave GWB! But now, since the Shoe is on the other Foot, all of a sudden they scream how much respect one owes the Office of POTUS!
