Mimi, I did too raising 5 children. One thing about being a parent, we usually don't have any "formal training" to equip us on raising children. It is what is commonly called: "on the job training".
You must stay up late at night. Looking at the time. Oh, what do I know? Not into horror movies.
Haven't been doing much! Went to see my grandson play baseball last night. It started raining and I got soaked. Game got cancelled because of the rain. Why didn't they cancel before I got soaked.
I liked the older sci-fis. You are right about the Godzilla movies, seen one; seen them all. I used to like the Hercules movies where Steve Reeves could crack a dinosaur's neck.
I am older than I think most of the people here on the blogs. I have seen a real breakdown in society. I won't go into everything but our society is way to permissive, respect (is a foreign word) and work (is also foreign for many). About a month ago, a young man was talking to me about getting turned down for a job. He ask me for some tips about interviewing for a job. Part of my background was as recruiter for an international insurance company. As I was trying explain some things to him, he was texting on his phone and did not even look at me.
This is a very deep topic about families. I am sure everyone has a story about it.
The bible does say: "train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it".
I have to agree with the weather getting better, there are more things to do than setting on a computer. Don't get me wrong, I like my CS friends but I love the outdoors!
Power Of Words
Thanks Cat.
