Grandson's Graduation
When my grandson graduated from university last year, I was trying to think of something special to say to him in a card. About a month before, I was reading and ran across this saying from a great basketball coach from UCLA. It was a simple msg but had lots to say:Michael,
I wanted to pass on something I read by John Wooden, a great basketball coach. His father gave him this advice upon his graduation!
Be true to yourself.
Make each day your masterpiece.
Help others.
Drink deeply from books, especially the Bible.
Make friendship a fine art.
Build a shelter against a rainy day.
Pray for guidance and give thanks for your blessings every day.
REMEMBER!
Talent is God-given; be humble.
Fame is man-given; be grateful.
Conceit is self given; be careful
After writing this and placing it in the card, I started thinking, this is what I should practice in my life!

That is how life works my friend. We never stop learning.
You are absolutely right!
I am loving it specially the REMEMBER part.
Congratulations to your grand son and I am sure you are so elated.
Thank you for sharing those wise words....
