I can see your point, but RW, affecting large companies, throws the onus back on those companies to protect themselves. I'm not justifying or taking the side of RW....
Ransome ware is obviously a bad thing, but some of the "blame" lies with those companies, which make no real effort to protect themselves; that is to keep sensitive data off the net, and secured "off-site" in the first place. Governments can only do so much, and no one can legislate against complacency and stupidity.....
I think the existence of Karma, could be a very real thing....
The way I see it, if Good and Bad Karma Exist, then they exist Independantly of any "God" (so-called). A "God" is not necessary, for this Karma, to exist.....
It can be encapsulated in the saying:
"However a person makes their bed, is how they must lie in it"........
The above quote is a statement Not a conjecture, or hypothesis....
There is a logical distinction here, between this (statement) and your Assumption, The logic is quite subtle; but (none the less) is there, (if you care to think)...
This leads me to yet another quote/observation:
"Most people, would rather Die, than Think - many Do"
This brings me to a final observation; (which is in fact) a quote from one of the Great Minds of Humanity (who did in fact have Humanity)....

When I say "further evidence of God's love for Humanity" (see link Florida Condo collapse), I do not mean this in a facetous way. It just seems to me that there is a complete absence of any God, when I see things like this. What I do see is a cruel demonstration of the Laws of Physics, and a building that wasn't built properly in the first place. I intend no disrespect to the victims...........
