Glen, like your idea of treating the debt like a 30 year loan. I also agree that both parties have had hands in it. Indeed, the Iraq war and the funding of high risk loans are both major causes of the economic woes the country is currently experiencing and both took place during the GWB administation.
It's easy for those of less education to point their fingers at Obama, but reality points backwards to where the debt began.
I disagree about it making no difference in President. The choice for president is an important decision not to be taken lightly. Unfortunately, much of the public falls prey, to funded propaganda. Would you believe there are STILL some morons who are trying to get Obama out of office because of his birth certificate. It's hard to believe that anyone would still support the idiot, Palin.
YW - a no hitter ? Nice job ! My team could use a good pitcher. Ready to come out of retirement ?
Pa - I could sell you a clue or two.
Ol - Thanks. We could definitely enjoy having a cute cheerleader like you.
Mr - I have never watched the TV show 'Jersey Shore' and never had a desire to do so. However, I was at the actual Jersey shore yesterday prior to the game. I took pictures of several osprey soaring with fish in their talons. There were many other lovely sights as well.
SR - Thanks. You can join Oly on the new cheerleading team There's several single guys on the softball team. I bet I can match you both up with someone.
Believe it or not, I have less of a problem with that, IF they keep the jaguar in it's natural range. I saw a National Geographic special on 2 orphaned cheetah cubs that were raised by this guy in Africa. He wanted to raise them and then set them free. It didn't work out quite as well as planned, but the cats themselves were no problem, even after years of being in the wild. They still treated him as family. The problem was, they didn't know how to deal with the local lions and one yearling cheetah brother got killed. They relocated the other to a preserve.
And I'm sure you've seen the very famous & touching story about Christian the lion;
Don't get me wrong. There are obviously dangerous possibilities. There have been lion & tiger trainers who have been killed. But, these have often been associated with the stress of crowds, tricks, etc..
The bottom line is that precautions have to be enacted and the people at risk have to remain the owners. It's THEIR choice. When other people are at risk and the environment is at risk, then I'm whole heartedly against it.
The cat itself is probably 4 generations away from being a wild Asian Cat. However, it's thus got about 1/8 of those genes. It finds another of it's type and potentially its down to 1/4. Another generation perhaps down to 1/2. These Asain cats are bigger and more athletic and bring down bigger prey. I'm not saying adult humans, but a lot larger than a mouse.
