Chianti is much the same in Tuscany, only there the best is held back while the rest exported, so it's absurdly expensive to buy unless you know a local producer.
There could be a silver lining to all this, if all government are forced to work from home. the majority would spend most of the time watching daytime soap operas, leaving us oldies to get things back the way they were before the idiots panicked.
Well that's bloody great, no Rioja in Spain, crossing that country off the Christmas card list. Best go to Portugal, they at least have some decent Ports, and not shut (YET).
They invented Tonic as a cure for malaria. Maybe worth trying a Gin and Tonic, one glass before stepping outside the front door, another as soon as you return A pint a day should cure any flu bug.
Z, Sadly Rioja is hard to come by in SL, for sure, a decent wine like that would be spoilt drinking it with a veg curry, as that is the main (Read only) food available in this town,
I've put myself in semi-isolation mode, schools are all closed until end April, so I have booked a flight back to the Philippines, hopefully, I will return before they close the airport to international flights, fingers crossed. Right now I'm in a rented room, been here 4 days now and fed up, too hot to go for a walk, no money to buy books and internet so slow I could write a book faster than it can download. I do have a selection of children's books, Nancy Drew, Famous Five, Water Babies and the Secret Garden, used for teaching but now the only hope I have left to remain partially sane.
So you admit you never actually read the book, you just decided that as it was written by a professor it had to be rubbish. My guess, by your lack of grammar, spelling and sentence construction, is that you have never actually been on a University campus, let alone a Uni library, where you would need a student card to entre. You are trying to belittle the teaching profession, without whom you would not be able to use a computer or read simple sentences. Be grateful
Republicans are so busy trying to prove nepotism by Biden, they. have completely ignored the fact that their idol has given very lucrative and totally unsuitable positions to his own family members. Yet they think that is okay while trying to find proof that Biden did the same, but always coming up empty handed
I would rather see your information that China waited two months before taking any action! I would agree that in the very first month China made many mistakes, but sought to correct that as soon as the danger was realised. Shame other countries didn't take notice and act sooner, especially when they already knew from China that this virus is hard to detect and extremely infectious in its early stages.
A government without an opposition party is not a government it is a dictatorship, which is exactly what Trump set out to create. When he loses the election he may well refuse to stand down, forcing the Senate to back him.
I had my 65th birthday last Sunday and since I still have to work another year before my Government pension kicks in, I think to select those 65 and older is somewhat unfair, if we are young enough to work and pay taxes, we should be young enough to escape being euthanised by an over-excited government.
Is anyone surprised? Just more real proof, that all Trump really cares about is money, specifically, how to put more money into his pocket. He is a fake President, just like his followers. Heartless with no compassion and full of greed and display little in the way of intelligence.
My opinion is that as long as I have to pay an internet provider to access the internet, and that is not cheap, I will ever pay for any subscription. If news sites wish to charge that's fine by me as there are plenty of others that are free and less biased than those that charge. I would suggest the media site charged the internet providers, except they would just pass that on to the consumer. At some stage it will require some sort of government intervention. Maybe a two-level form of internet, one totally free, the other a premium access level rather like cable TV, where you can pay for a standard level or at a higher rate access to a premium level to watch films, live sport. etc.
Sorry I forgot you own the blogs and I dared to post an opposing view.i apologise profusely. Hope you can return to your diatribes of verbal diarrhoea unaffected by my logical thinking. I
You quoted a post as proof that a poster was “killing “ the messenger. Now you are changing the criteria. Not very clever and typical of someone losing a discussion
Mark Levin was not a messenger, he was the creator and as a media source is open to criticism. Whereas YOU are finding fault in the messenger who posted that information. Irony or Two faced? You decide lol.
"it beggars belief that the same chief justice who stood by silently at Trump’s direct attacks at federal judge after federal judge, and hit snooze last week at presidential attacks on Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor and on Amy Berman Jackson as she is poised to sentence Roger Stone, is going to fire up the creaky old Supreme Court teletype machine to rebuke Chuck Schumer for saying the same thing Brett Kavanaugh said a little more than a year ago."
RE: Opting out of the virus panic should be an option
