RE: Dance

It's not the movie, it's the book. Based on reality.

She fell in love when a married woman wasn't supposed to fall in love. And she died. As simple as that.

A lot of women on this planet live under the same conditions. Still. Not all of them are married to rich men, though.

Nonetheless, this tread is about dance. Let us not spoil the magic :)

RE: Old Words

Do you mean English old words?

RE: Was what you said ever said before?

Is my life in need of improvement?

RE: Dance

I dance every day. It's always in my head and it's always a waltz. Just to keep in form :)

RE: Was what you said ever said before?

Sure

RE: Witch country would you avoid visiting

On my wish list, very high. Number three after Caribbean and Iceland.

RE: Witch country would you avoid visiting

Ain't they all in Spain already?

RE: Witch country would you avoid visiting

Well... I've heard that Scotland has one of the most beautiful sceneries and I thought that one day I may go and see it for myself. But so welcoming as you are... There are certainly other places with grate sceneries.

RE: Witch country would you avoid visiting

UK isn't on the list? Why so?

RE: anticipation is just half the fun

What is supposed to happen on Nov 8?

RE: Today is international "Tuen back the clocks" day

I wouldn't have stayed married for that long. Beside that - no regrets.

RE: Is God fueling the sun since time began...?

To impress the girls?

A new computer

Very grateful for all comments, especially to Rizlared's. I did visit the link and started to study the subject, while my entire nature screaming against it :(

I just hate all this technological terminology. But, as I understand it now, my request was rather naive: I cannot choose anything on my own if I don't understand what's it about. As simple as that :(

I bought a new mobile phone this summer and I did study the subject in advance (while hating it). My demands for a mobile phone are rather few and simple: I want be able to make phone calls and type a text, everything else is a bonus. Now I own a Motorola. Everyone I asked about it, both on line and in the real life, were in love with it. Me? It sucks and I hate it. Yes, the battery time is like "forever" and that's that. I can't switch between different alphabets while typing a text and it's not possible to turn off auto spelling check. Looks like there are things that are important only for me.

My point is: even if I study this terminology from here and to the sunset, I still might find myself with something that's very good for someone else, not me.

Jeeze, how I miss the old Nokia....

A new computer

Budget isn't the issue.

That matter settled... I'd like a stationary machine with decent working memory that would allow to watch videos and films without the picture getting "freezing" or covered with squares. I guess I'd need a lot of hard drive (I've cheated and googled "hard drive") memory... Are we talking about teras here? Few years ago it was gigas, I don't know how far the technology advanced. How many teras is "fashionable" nowadays?

Then there's certainly other matters that I'm not aware of or just judged to be too boring to dive into. Please, enlighten me.

Again, is there a screen with inbuilt speakers and a camera? I'm so tired of that jungle of wires under my desk :(

/Grateful in advance

RE: If only I had a few more inches....

I only I had a few more inches, I'd convert 'em to centimetres...

... and welcome them to the modern world.

A new computer

Well... I'm guessing that I have to thank you, but it's exactly that kind of "language" that prevented me to understand the matter before. I have access to internet and I can google. And everything on the subject "to buy a new computer" will be filled with just the same talk you've kindly offered here.

Yes, I've managed to survived that far, while using (and even owning a computer) without knowing a single word of the jargon.

Perhaps, the question is wrongly formulated. Here's a new question.

If you were to buy a new computer to yourself, what factors would you pay attention to? Please, explain it simply to one technology-illiterate blonde woman.

A new computer

Hi, Ali!

You are as cute as usual :)

A new computer

I'm in a need of a new computer. Was kinda "lucky" so far and didn't have to choose myself. Just paid for one that someone else told me is a good choice.

Now I've decided to be an adult and buy a computer after my own choice. What exactly is there to be aware of?

Did I miss you?

I did.

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 2 X 9

I've noticed that this otherwise generous site doesn't support kirillitsa hence in English:

This town will return,
Sevastopol will remain Russian

(translation only for them who don't understand Russian, of cource)

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 2 X 9

If you really wish it...

??? - "?? ?????? ?????????? ????"

RE: I have been a single parent since my kids birth and beyond !!!

Did I understand it right?

You've married an abusive man. You've given birth to his two children. You've divorced. You've moved back to UK, where you origin from? Is that right?

What is there to discuss?

RE: Is it right to judge someone negatively when no facts are present?

Yes, it's right.

We, you are included, judge instinctively.

Is it right to block someone on a nick?
Yes, a nick is a nick.

Is it good to judge / block someone during a discussion barely on the fact that you don't like their opinion?
Well... it's contradicts freedom of speech. It is not right, nor would it be allowed in the space that supports freedom of speech.

Does Connecting Singles forum support freedom of speech?

I don't know. But I think it's where your question ought start. If CS forum doesn't allow freedom of speech, then yes, your post - when judged negatively - can be blocked and you can be banned from the fora.

In order to survive in this environment, you are to "be friends first". Everything else... well.. is to be banned :)

RE: What would you bring to the relationship table !

Why, thank you!

Looks like your are bringing good will - a rare phenomenon indeed :)

RE: What would you bring to the relationship table !

A blind eye and a death ear.

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 2 X 9

So many years and it still carries so much energy... They don't make songs like that any more.

Queen - "Show must go on"

RE: What is ur life motto or indeed favourite quote to live by?..........

Absolutely!

But when someone ask you to explain how you manage to keep going, given this and that (insert here your difficulties people know about), what do you answer?

My answer is: "Show must go on..." or "I'm just born that way..."

What's your answer? Do you invent a "bon mot" every time or is there a quote?
