My dear SA, I did not mean to offend you by saying that, and if you don't think that his alcoholism was hurtful to himself (physically, medically), then forgive me.
And, btw, I am VERY familiar with alcoholism; my father was quite a 'devotee' of alcohol. He was a menace to my mother (and her sister on one occasion), later my stepmother and to me. However, he was mostly a menace to himself.
SA my dear, I did get your point, but I was wondering about what YOU would do for YOU as you make your way out. I have no doubt that the dog would benefit from your kind gesture, but the focus is on YOU primarily.
Oh my gosh, SA, you're gonna make me cry (for real). That's so sweet. Sadly, he wouldn't qualify to be sent back, based upon the third criterium. Sorry...
Oh my SA, sorry that you have to suffer through pain. An elderly friend of mine who lives in St. Kitts has to suffer through Arthritis and Migranes, constantly, and I feel so helpless when she tells me how badly it affects her.
Heaven has become over-populated, so God has decided to send 1 person back to earth to live with a loved one. Each person on earth has to choose who they would prefer to have sent back to them, based on the following criteria:
*Was most missed *Is helpful and caring *Is not a menace to self, nor to society
I would choose my mother (but only if she really wanted to return).
There is a CS genie that has granted you 3 wishes, with the stipulation that you cannot wish for anything monetary/financial. What would you wish for?
I wish: 1. To sell my home (soon, and at a good price), and move to a smaller more manageable space; 2. To resume my travel plans without having to worry about Covid; 3. To meet, and make a lasting friendship and 'love match', with a true gentleman.
Thanks for that G. Good story, happy for Paxton! However, I don't think that reading his eyes was the key; it was reading the situation that he was in. If he could have spoken, it would have saved him (and them) a lot more time.
Well, at least he/she doesn't look as though there's any urgency about what he/she may be thinking. It could be..."Am I getting any new treats today, human?" Who knows?
