CONSERVATIVES ROCK!!!!!!!!!!

RE: torture?

Yes I understood what you were saying. But as I have said that does not mater to the Military. That is something for the US Attorney to figure out since Assange is a civilian. I concentrated on the merits at hand and that is a military matter alone.

No where in your opening statement does it mention him being tortured for trying to obtain information about Assange.

RE: torture?

How are they putting him under psychological duress specifically. By sedating him to keep himself from injuring himself or using drugs to try to extract information?

Physical injuries can be self inflicted using the walls and bars. If he said he was going to kill himself they have every right to remove everything to protect him.

Just because someone get's half the story does not make it the truth.

RE: torture?

Manning got himself in a pickle on his own. Did not mater who ended up with the material he is the first one in the chain and there for subject to punishment in accordance with the UCMJ. I've stated my position. I'll not back down. As far as Jac goes. I'm waiting for an answer to the above question.

I thought my answer was fair and a very reasonable one. No one I know or have dealings with care who got the info only care about wither he did it or not. None of it so far has been damaging to the us other than a few bruised ego's. But the fact is he's supposedly being denied some right's for his own protection. I wouldn't call that a need for amnesty to get involved because he is not being tortured.

As far as the guy who want's to see him well that guy legally has no right to. So that is a moot subject.

It was fun and hopefully educational as far as discussions go. Your a good person. I did learn some good things and hopefully you did also.

Just remember the military will stick up for their own and the world if asked. And it's not a bad thing.

RE: torture?

US Wikileaks investigators can't link Assange to Manning

American media are reporting that investigators are unable to prove that WikiLeaks and its colourful figurehead Julian Assange obtained classified US files from jailed soldier Bradley Manning, allegedly the source of most of WikiLeaks' significant material. If true, this is likely to present serious obstacles to US-based criminal proceedings against Assange – though not against Manning.

NBC news, citing unnamed investigating officials, says that US authorities have been unable to find conclusive proof that Wikileaks' vast stashes of secret material – the Baghdad attack-copter videos, Afghanistan and Iraq "war logs" and now the endless mountains of US diplomatic cables being drip-fed by the site – were passed to it by Private Bradley Manning, now being held in a US Marine Corps brig (jail) in Virginia.

Manning has been charged with an array of offences by military prosecutors, including the transfer of classified information onto a personal computer and the adding of unauthorised software to a classified computer system. He is also charged, according to military spokesmen, with "communicating, transmitting and delivering national defense information to an unauthorized source"; "disclosing classified information concerning the national defense with reason to believe that the information could cause injury to the United States"; and "exceeding authorized computer access to obtain classified information".

RE: torture?

It is to protect his life And also to protect him from himself. Plain and simple if you can't see that then well can't help you.

RE: torture?

Don't think I ignored the presumption of innocence. Have you seen me say he was guilty? If so show me the words he's guilty that I used.

RE: torture?

How did I avoid the question? Your not reading the answers provided. The base commander can keep anyone off the base for the good of morale and safety of all the persons involved. How is this person that was stopped from entry involved in the case? Is it his boyfriend? What? dunno

RE: torture?

Were not talking about Assange. Your switching topics.

RE: torture?

He is not required to be let on the military installation.

I see the big picture I personally don't give a chit about him. Maybe they should put him in gp so they the other prisoners can take care of him. In fact let's just let him off the hook. what the hell. Sound good to you?

RE: torture?

What is relevant to his trial is the logs that potentially show wither he stole classified material and then distributed it to a 3rd party. Reason's for doing so do not mater. Fact's and only fact's.

RE: torture?

It was a general statement. Not directed toward you. You did and didn't agree. As with any debate some things get agreed to and others not. But a couple of others still seem to be sticking their noses in and not seeing the big picture.

As I said at the beginning He is being treated the way he is to keep others from harming him and him causing harm to himself or from fleeing. That is not torture. Every prisoner that exhibits the potential to commit suicide get's solitary for their own protection. It has nothing to do with torture.

RE: torture?

Yes and NJP is like being in front of a judge without a jury. But only the fact's are used no outside he said she said stuff. Merit's of the case and nothing else.

RE: torture?

Speaking from experience with Military NJP( Non Judicial Punishment) I can attest they will be fair and impartial and only use the fact's. It's not like the show JAG.

RE: torture?

According to some it's torture to save him from the general population where he would definitely get a impartial trial.rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: torture?

Military trials are more fair than civilian. They only look at the fact's no room for theories or conjecture. He will be tried on the evidence and the evidence only.

RE: torture?

Ok roll eyes the same US military that has helped untold countries after devastating natural disasters without ever questioning why.

RE: torture?

If it was up to me we would not be over there. Why waste the lives of good soldiers on someone that does not want us there. But it's not and there is the quagmire. I support our troupes but not necessarily the Government.

RE: torture?

I don't care what shamnesty does. They do not represent me as a person.

RE: torture?

Do all prisoners get to see who they want besides legal council? You are not guaranteed visitation by anyone except legal council. If he's not his attorney then they have no obligation to let him see him. Period. Next in line is immediate family.

RE: Hi

cswelcome Have fun it's a great place. wave

RE: torture?

Because they like sticking there noses where it does not belong.
