Nope your not the only one. The burden of proof was on the prosecution. They did not and could not show the things needed to tie her mother to her death. In this case "justice" prevailed. The law is very demanding and requires a huge burden of proof to convict. Hence the "Beyond a reasonable doubt" for a criminal trial and a full guilty by all 12 jurors. If one juror in this country cannot say guilty then you get a hung jury and it goes back for retrial with a new jury.
It's better to set 10 criminals free than to jail one innocent. The criminal will always do it again at some point and be caught. the innocent one will usually not be in the circumstances that placed them there ever again.
Had to deal with it for 18 years. It made me a prisoner in my on home literally. If I'm with a person then I'm with them. I Don't do the grass is greener on the other side bit. Cause it's usually brown and dieing.
Hey. well wish I could help. I can almost quote landlord tennant law in TN but any other state I can't help. It truly sounds like a case of life teaching a lesson. Some times we just have to hit the speed bump at 100 to learn that it can bust a tire and stop us for a bit.
A tax on top of another tax is punishment. It's not progressive at all it's regressive. Yeah it might be small in the bigger picture but it's still a punishment for succeeding.
How do you figure I'm inheriting anything. Not how it works. Her children inherit it I get squat. Doesn't matter what they are an extra tax on top of another one because you have it does not make it fair for those that will get stuck with it.
I think people are entitled to whatever their parent;s are able to pass on to them be is a broken radio flyer wagon or 10 billion dollars. They worked for it and it's not your nor my nor anyone Else's place to say they don;t deserve to keep it because some poor schmuck decided they should have it before the ones that do have it.
What entitles anyone to get money or services for free?
Point being when you already pay capital gains on something why punish even more with a sales tax on top of that. Most people are already taxed to death but heck you liberals don't care. It's not your money.
Gee I don't think my 90 year old grandmother can afford the cash if she were to sell her 300 acre farm (primary residence) 1.5 mil value. Was valued at 20k when she inherited it. And dang sure none of her children have the cash to pay the tax when she dies. Yeah 2.8% sounds cheap but tack that extra onto the capital gains gonna have to pay also.
So what they are really saying is and correct me if I'm wrong.
You buy a home for 100k Your single and you get lucky enough to sell it for 500k. Now you don't pay tax on the first 250k due to the capital gains threshold. Now you've just made 250k that is considered taxable income. Now on top of your 50k employment wages your net income for the year is 300k. Now you are subject to the extra 3.8% tax on top of what you paid in capital gains. Wow sounds like it's gonna hit almost everyone anyway.
A restraining order that does not have specific directions for the offender to move out is pretty much useless. She really need's to see an attorney and get proper legal advice. Other wise she could end up in a worse position than the person she is trying to get out of the home.
Except for the time or two that they did the photo op and their time in a private educational institution not enough to even begin to understand how it works.
Well all you can do is educate them on the use and or non use of drugs. This involves having a personal responsibility to teach them from right and wrong. Do not rely on the public education system or TV to teach them. Be active and you should do just fine.
