Come now Ooby. You know darn well that the only parts of the government that would get shut down are the parts no one ever sees. The tax man still cometh for your money and that part wont be shut down.
Beautiful story and thanks for sharing. Not many people get to experience what you have. I haven't. I experienced it in a different manner.
One day just nout of the blue my son whom we had never taken to church nor discussed religion with asked me one of the most simple but inspiring questions of all time.
That question was. Why does God want me to love everyone. At that moment I knew he had been in direct communication with him and he was going to have a grasp on life that most will never have.
No the US used to get money from tariffs. You know the tax on imported and exported goods. But since your hero and mentor Klintoon started signing free trade agreements and it has continued on well that money is no longer there. What are the tariffs in your country on imports and exports?
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Faithfulness Not trying to offend you but if you don't mind could you please hit the quote button for whom your quoting. It makes reading your post separately much easier. Takes me a bit to find where the quotes end and your's start.
America is not a democracy. It is a representative republic. Get your fact's straight Dude. Only thing remotely democratic is the voting system. Other wise not even close.
It really does matter wither you ask nicely vs forcing something. In this case the Parent is forcing it on everyone. They didn't come to the school and ask the real questions on how much this would effect the staff teachers and most of all the student's. That is what I heard on the radio about this a week or so ago.
Americans are even worse at change than the UK. It has to be almost forced on us otherwise it ain't gonna happen.
If we ask or yield freely then I would consider us a truly free people. But also look at laws. Laws are forced moral and societal needs. So no one is truly free unless you live in a bubble or as a hermit on some isolated Island where no one knows you are there.
Exactly the only way to control the public school environment to allow for this kid to attend is place everyone in a hazmat suit. To do any less invites possible exposure.
Crooked, yellowed, coffee stained, and dentures don't bother me either. They show that people live a life.
It's not that; it's the fact that people assume that because you have dentures that your a slob and didn't take care of yourself.
Thanks. I'm not expecting perfection just a person comfortable with them self and knowing their flaws and willing to learn mine and live with them as I am willing to do for them.
It is about perfection and the perceived perfection. Rotting, crooked, yellow, space in between or even dentures. People are conditioned to only expect perfection in certain areas when you are younger. As you grow older and get some life experiences under your belt you learn that what may be perfection on the outside is almost certainly imperfect on the inside. Vice versa for those with the imperfections on the outside. How many profiles have you seen where they specify you have to have all your natural teeth and they should be nice and sparkly white. I've seen tons.
Here is one for you and I'll tell you it's gonna make me even less attractive to anyone here and my self esteem is gonna take a dive but it's a fact of life.
Feb 1st I had to have all my teeth removed. Guess what I had every tooth in my head at the time but the wisdom teeth. All mine where in good condition. I had to loose them due to bone loss from exposure to chemicals while I was on active duty military. Now I have a couple of more months before I get my dentures. Want to know how it feels to be rejected because of this. Something out of my control has hit hard.
I personally would not date a person with rotting teeth because there is a major underlying problem. Aside from my teeth I'm in almost perfect health. I would like to find some one that really and truly doesn't care what others think of them and have taken care of themselves and on as few medications as possible.
I think it's something more than fickle. It's how people are raised to think that perfection is in the external rather than the internal. We all have our problems.
