He's doing great. He is a natural hunter. Already doing the fetch naturally. spend a couple of hours a day playing fetch and he loves it. Got his next vet visit on the 5th.

Under aged people should be choice of the parent's. Not a financial one but one of compassion in knowing that their loved one will be better off not having to live like a vegetable.

As far as comatose their is a thing called advanced directives that you can fill out at any dr. office here in the US. This assures that you have complete control of your fate. I have one that specifically says do not recessitate. I don't want to be a veggie. Also their are health power of attorneys here that allows you to give a loved one after discussion on how you want them to handle your affairs in case of problems. My dad has one and I and my sister a re first and 2 in line in case one is not around.

In a truly free society there is no need to discuss whether something someone decides to do of their own free will is illegal or immoral. Choices are choices and you should be free to make what you deem reasonable or not based on you own beliefs and information.

Got nothing against it but wouldn't want to be pulled over if together and they had some on them. You know how the law is. If it's in the vehicle or on the property it does not matter who the actual owner is.

I don't see it as singling out the religion itself but trying to single out and get more assistance from the community to help rid it of the radical faction. They will never get rid of it completely just as they can't rid the US of white supremest and any other radical groups. However the Islamic community should be willing to help the government rid itself of that faction just as most are willing to help cull the crop of other hate groups. If they are willing to do that then more people might be willing to open themselves up and such but until then it's going to be a rough ride for the Muslim community.

What's the true cost of this. Your advocating removing a large portion of the feed corn used to feed livestock. That in turn increases the cost to farmers and in the end everything just goes sky high in price. Also what is the true environmental impact of making the stuff.







Maybe we should be drilling here instead.

Are Unions Fighting for the Right to Organize or the Right to Coerce?

This story got a bit lost in the shuffle yesterday, but unions just suffered a big blow in Michigan. Now that the state is controlled by a Republican governor, they just put a stop to one of the most egregious examples of union overreach in the country.

Last year, I wrote about the scheme cooked up by two of America's biggest unions, along with a state government agency, to organize the Michigan's daycare providers. This was done despite the fact there was no significant interest at all in organizing among the daycare providers:

One day last fall, approximately 40,000 private day care owners in Michigan woke up to discover they had become members of a public sector union. Most had no idea what was coming.

Here's how it happened: The United Auto Workers and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees worked with the Michigan Employment Relations Commission to conduct a vote-by-mail union election.

Of the 40,000 day care workers in the state, only 6,000 responded to the ballot they received in the mail. But that was enough for the state to declare all of the day care owners would henceforth be represented by the newly organized Child Care Providers Together Michigan union.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Michigan's Department of Human Services collects $3.7 million in union dues for the newly created union. These dues are collected by taking money out of child care subsidies the state pays to day care providers.
