I think, at times, I may spend too much time examining my life, in a retrospective sort of way. It is so much easier to examine the negative, the regrets, the should haves and could haves. I should neither regret the past or choose to live it - rather, I'm happiest when I stay in the day - and focus on what is before me and the potential opportunities that exist. I gave my first product presentation (automotive in nature) some ten years ago - and I shared a similar fear. My boss back then pulled me aside just prior to presenting, and simply told me "Remember, you know this stuff - probably more than anybody in the room. Hell, you know this stuff better than I do." I can't tell you how much that helped. It's a little mantra that has carried me through countless presentations since - now it is fun.
I suspect you really know your "stuff," as it were. Relax, and enjoy yourself - if your attendees sense this, they'll enjoy it as well.
I'm not crazy about Walmart or their policies (particularly on health care). May I be trapped somewhere else? An auto parts store? A motorcycle dealership?
