In all honesty probably Facetowardsfront cos I'd love to see the look of shock on his face in the morning when he realised he just shared his bed with someone like me.
I get the phone alarm thing they wear round their neck but is a €9.50 a month reduction really going to stop them using it? And if they get ten items a month then thats a €10 increase so say a €20 a month or less than €5 a week.
taken from the citizens information website: Medical cards and GP Visit Cards The income limits for medical cards for people aged over 70 will reduce from €600/€1,200 per week (single person/couple) to €500/ €900 per week. The GP Visit Card will still be available to people aged over 70 with income up to €700/€1,400 per week. It is planned to have the necessary legislation in place by the end of 2013 or early 2014.
so GP visit cards are still available for to those over 70 with an income level up to €36,400 for single people and €72,800 for couples. Coupled with the maximum level of €144 a month for an individual or a couple/family under the drug payment scheme. I dont think its as bad as everyone is going on about.
i can understand medical cards given under certain circumstances depending on illness etc. Things like this need a basic criteria and those outside of it can be based on a case by case basis.
Ive a query.....they reduced the income level that the over 70's could have to still be entitled to a medical card to €900 for couples and €500 for a single person. Call me stupid but is that €900 a week? Isn't that those over 70 who have an income of over €46,000 a year??? Or a single person over 70 with an income of over €26,000 a year???
Also the reduction in the telephone allowance is the equivalent of a little over €2 a week. Yes a reduction but in the grand scale of things not the biggest one.
it was reported that persons contribution towards rent supplement was increasing. Trying to find out if this will be the case. I already pay more than double the normal amount, last thing i need is to have to pay more.
wonder if its about time I started my own business. Ive talked about it often enough. Only concern is the mentioning that the initiative will benefit the construction industry. Hope they dont make it harder for those not in that field to apply for and receive this incentive.
I'm demented.....my head is wrecked trying to set up paypal buttons on a fb page and website for fundraising for my son's new school building. They joys of being on the Parents' Association.
Thanks Witty. I completed the form last night and got email asking me to do an online assessment questionnaire thatd take 35 mins. Just completed that there now. Ive come across with problems due to assessment tests as I have to be very careful how I answer them. As Ive had previous management experience Ive had it said to me that I answer from that perspective and not from a regular employees point of view. So have alienated myself on a few occasions and been told that if they were interviewing for managers my answers were perfect but not for example to work on a shop floor.
Selling yourself and lying are two very different things. I am a very capable person and can sell myself.
Im just wondering now if the fact one of my long gaps in employment can be put down to a serious bout of depression...what happens if i dont even get an interview? Does it open them up to me thinking its because of that?
Things have a funny way or working out...or not. And if its the latter, so be it.
Im feeling philosophical after the weekend Ive had. Twas to be first full weekend together with me and himself as 2 nights free in a row is a rarity for me and he works mad hours so we time together is gold dust. But Friday night I had chimney fire and fire brigade had to be called. Then yesterday I ended up doing 6hrs of unexpected babysitting for afternoon. Not exactly what either of us had planned. We were even too tired to go out and zonked out watching the xfactor. lol
Here was me hoping to keep fooling you all into thinking I am all sweetness and light when in fact I am a raving repeat offender and my lack of participation on here recently can be attributed to my latest stint inside.
filling out an online application for a very well known shop for Xmas employment and have been asked to explain any gaps in employment. Duly done although vague (would feel better explaining in person)
However they now are asking: Please provide a character reference, including current contact details, of someone who is able to verify this information. Please indicate in what capacity you know the person. Do not include family or friends.
Who do I get to verify any gaps in my employment history over the last say 5 or 10 yrs who isnt family or known to me so long to be considered a friend???
RE: What`s on your mind..... ....
You think you know how you feel til someone throws you a curve ball and you're back to square one.
