RE: How can we let this happen!

@face.....how many women do you know, actually know when their most fertile days are?
In my case my cycle is anything from 3-6weeks. The only time it was ever regular was for the 3yrs after my son was born, I also couldnt take the pill, implant or injection. For some reason they made me lose too much oestrogen and I would run the risk of early menopause, like I experienced in my early 20's.

Its also as far as I am aware, meant to be less invasive and more easily successfully reversed for a man to have a vasectomy than a woman to have her tube tied. So maybe thats an option for ye men to consider?

RE: How can we let this happen!

well as this scenario panned out, the morning after pill was used (which prevents pregnancy, doesn't end one) One person acted responsibly in this case, the other very much did not.

I have said before about how I would agree with a drastic reduction in the time frame under which these procedures could be carried out. And I also said, that having an opinion on it does not equate to something I personally would do.

RE: The independent male

Im with jimbo on this....(and that doesnt happen often laugh hug)

Halfavag, the apology I do believe is rather specific in this instance and well warranted too.

RE: The independent male

we do all know that there is only one way to stop these threads though....thats not reply to them.

Although methinks it'd take a while.....there's a lot of pent up frustration needing an avenue and they've chosen CS to vent it.

RE: The independent male

my issue with a lot of these threads is the generalisation.
"women are"...."men are" etc......not every woman or every man think or act the same. Therefore categorising "all" in any statement is fundamentally flawed from a characteristic perspective.

RE: International Men's Day

Not a clue as to when it is.

The dates that are important to me.....my sons birthday, my parents birthdays, my sisters birthday and Xmas.
Same as they are the only 4 people I get presents for at xmas too
(too many other to buy for....damn my reproductive brothers...so i cut them all out. lol)

RE: International Men's Day

I'd no idea there was even an international women's day either.

Only reason I knew anything about it was because the google icon had changed when I turned on my laptop. laugh

RE: Male reproductive rights.

I think you will find that isnt the case.
My sons father hasnt paid maintenance in 5yrs and there is nothing the courts would do about it. He did get a 3 month sentence back in 2009 but it was returned as it was the same time a EU or high court ruling came in about non paying for a debt. In my case, he now lives abroad and would you believe I have more chance of getting maintenance from him there, than I ever had here. But I know men who dont pay a penny and there is next to nothing that can be done.

Quick question....since you brought up that unfortunate and desperate incident, I would like to know where you stand on the systematic aborting of female foetus's in certain countries?

RE: International Men's Day

was just going to say its Universal Children's day today.

As for patriarchy......and men.....
If I find a partner, half the man my father is, I will be doing well.
He rocks.

RE: What's on your mind .... Part 5

he has enough replica guns, he doesnt need knives..lol

although he does want night vision binoclaurs or a spotter thing-a-me-jig.

Lego is his grandparents toy to him so thats covered.

aaarrrggghhh...i typed night vision goggles into google.....no!!!!!
Ill be up all night at this rate.crying

RE: What's on your mind .... Part 5

brain frazzled trying to figure out what to get my son for xmas.
He is simple to buy for but there is only so many military toys or lego you can get. So racking my brains thinking of what else to get him.
Ive been on a dozen different sites....had running conversations with friends asking about specs and value for money and still none the wiser!frustrated
I only buy for him, my parents, his godparents and my sister. Theyre all figured out or gotten for....him....no clue.
well I have plenty of clue.....but the finances wont stretch...lol

ok....bedtime for me....should have been there ages ago.

Dublin November 24th

There were a few who said they would go.....maybe they still willdunno

I really wish I was going.....had plans made for during the day and sunday morning too. But the last time I had a drink on these antibiotics I became incoherent after half a glass.

Dublin November 24th

Ah excellent one........enjoy.

Dublin November 24th

so did you move into that place with your friends yet or are you still at home?

Dublin November 24th

my nights out work round finances.........not babysitting issues.

RE: What is your cut off point...

I agree that looks matter......but not everyone finds the same thing attractive. I've been known to have a penchant for guys with red hair, which some woman find odd. Ive never been attracted to the stereotypical good looking guys. You know the type that you see and think they are good looking, but the expression or appearance doesnt change. I like a man with character. That something behind the eyes that i think only I can see.
And that every time i look at him I see something else to like.

Dublin November 24th

well since its now in the new year.....perhaps we will go where you suggest. handshake

Dublin November 24th

Going to have to put this off til into the new year.
I really dont think I will be well enough come the weekend to be able to enjoy myself, nor be as sociable as I would like to be.

RE: What is your cut off point...

Or maybe they are more insecure and need approval from those around them?
Or trying to live up to the perceived 'ideal'?

I know when I am in a relationship with someone I think they are gorgeous and dont mind who knows. Even if others perceive them as less attract than I do.

RE: What is your cut off point...

It is not a strange phenomenon either.....
There are plenty of men who would quite happily and actually prefer to be intimate with a larger lady but who wouldnt necessarily want to be seen walking down the streets holding hands with one.

RE: What is your cut off point...

alas yes.....
One of those blokes who prefers the larger lady yet only dates slim EE women.

RE: Any1 wanna fill in a SHORT survey for me PLS

PZ...i filled it out on the other place for ya. grin

RE: What is your cut off point...

I've been in a relationship with someone 10yrs older than me and someone 6yrs younger than me.
All depends on the person. Although I sometimes forget I am the age that I am, so men in the their 40's seem older to me than they should. I bump into the older guy I used to date every now and then and think he looks closer to my fathers age than mine!!wow

I suppose its more to do with where you both are in your life and what you both want from the relationship.

RE: Secret Admirers ?

He says he does.....but I wish he would find a nice girl and settle down with her. Its not as if he is an ex or anything....we went on one lunch date that lasted barely an hour.

RE: Secret Admirers ?

I dont have any secret admirers.

I do have a not so secret one.
Not that he sends me flowers of anything. He knows better than to do that.
Its been over 7 yrs since he first asked me out and he still does periodically. Havent replied to any of his texts in over 9 months, but I still get one from him every two months wondering if i have changed my mind about going on a date with him.

RE: What's on your mind .... Part 5

or how about 'admirers' who never get the hint....laugh

RE: what name will u like for your next baby boy...+++++++

thumbs up
well too one of those names anyway.

RE: GOLF

There is a very good golf course across the road from where I live.
Ive never played but my father is rather good.....winning the captains prize 3 times in past 4 yrs. Unheard of before.
Where is was in portugal has 5 championship golf courses within mins of each other too.

Actually there would probably be a good place to go......groups of male golfers on outings. wink

RE: What's on your mind .... Part 5

bedtime.......me's got a cold, the sniffles, the sneezes and watery eyes and aches. Electric blanket oh how i love thee........
