The Maltese islands are a great base to live in. We all [well, most of us] need a change of scenery now and again....but these islands are 'home' to me and, even if I go away, I always want to come back.
I'd love to live here and have a holiday home in Switzerland, or Austria, or Bavaria in Germany.
I object - if I met a lovely wrinkly old lady who just happened to be over 80 and she smiled st me with her one good eye and didn't dribble too much it could be love at first sight [of her bank statement]
now poor smoky is feeling quite ill [some say she's taking the pill] 'is she preggers[question mark]' asked bill 'nope, don't be silly' said will 'but we can try' said young smoky, 'where there's a will there's a way'
'a way' [question mark] they all cried 'yes' - 'away with you all' said smoky, feeling alarmed, 'by the way, all you guys, with your silly boy smiles.... it's YOU that's making me ill'
so they all sat down quick and lamented their lives....... and smoky, she had a good laugh, for her illness, you see, was nothing but green tea with which she'd over-imbibed
i doubt you remember in the good old bad old days when the ferry used to dock at shipwreck promenade in xemxija [ st paul's bay ] sometimes......... i spent a whole summer once in xemxija and used to dive off the ferry............
once i did a perfect dive to impress the ladies and the force of the entry tore my swimsuit off - i almost drowned before i managed to find the offending swimsuit.......i think, as a young man, i'd have rather died than have to climb out of the water in my birthday suit
i used to do a lot of diving..........mainly into water
i've had nothing but good experiences in meeting a few people via the internet - mostly meeting friends but twice romantically as i've previously mentioned............i met my last wife via the internet [ we were friends via the internet before we met and got to know each other well - i loved her as a friend but never guessed that we'd fall in love and get married......we are now divorced but she is still my best friend ]
p.s. i'll get a new keyboard tomorrow, but this one is still damaged from spilling a whole glass of wine over it yesterday [the shift key refuses to work and i can't be arsed to put caps lock on and off all the time]
i love gozo because it is small and beautiful and not overcrowded like in malta..........also the girls here don't shave so their moustaches tickle you
the worst thing about gozo is having to go across on the ferry to malta when i have to fly away
the best thing about arriving in the uk is seeing real green fields if it's a day flight - the worst thing is feeling waht causes the green fields - the pigging' rain......
thanks jacko, but i did use one of those fan heaters on it last night......i put it on fan only not heat [it's hot enough here without a hot air blower] - seems ok now apart from that cap shift....maybe i should ask one of the 'coven' to blow on it for me [ha ha]......it's bloody annoying not being able to use to exlamations etc for the time being.
i see from your posts that you were also in the forces, then married a maltese lady then eventually took maltese citizenship......... i know a guy out here who is considering changing back to being british as he now gets taxed here on his world-wide earnings.
I share the same number 1 dream of your's...........I sympathise with you on the second one, but for decades I resented my parents living thousands of miles away from me - how dared they 'escape' their poor little boy [question mark].
I spilt a whole glass of wine over my keyboard yesterday and it was almost totally non-functional, but it seems to have dried out mostly now [I can't use the shift button, but Caps Lock is working now at least]
that's weird. i was doing research on 'bearded ladies' who had joined the circus and got referred to a popular cs profile...btw, for the first time in over 20 years with computers i spilt a whole glass of red wine on my keyboard......it seems to be mostly ok now apart from the shift key [ i can use caps locks but none of the thingies like exclamation marks yet ]
