The lady forgot 'to breathe' in her list.......you can't do any of the other seven for very long if you're choking to death on a fish bone while admiring the Taj Mahal or a beautiful woman!
15. Lick your plate. Offer to lick your date's. (YUM YUM!)
19. Drool. (over you -always!)
21. Sacrifice french fries to a Pagan god. (French fries? I thought you dudes now call them 'freedom fries' and make a small offering to the God McDonald Duck! )
20.Stand up every five minutes, circle your table with your arms outstretched, and make airplane sounds. (This works brilliantly if you wished to be asked to leave the restaurant.........try and eat as much food first as, when asked to leave, you normally get away without having to settle the bill )
Mylifewithu - you come up with some good ones. Thank you!
I think people who are half Maltese and half English or half Oz or whatever are lucky......mind you, with Malta now in the EU it's getting easier for non-Maltese to live and work in these islands - whether that's a good thing or not for Malta is a matter of opinion.
I have a student lodger in my UK home finishing off his Masters degree........the guy is half Finnish and half Japanese and has dual Finnish/American citizenship. I think it's great when people both speak many different languages fluently and have varied cultural backgrounds to their make-up.
Thank God we are all different - wouldn't it be boring if we were all the same with grey skin and grey eyes and a grey outlook on life?
Giving is often more pleasureable than receiving. Take a meal for example - nobody likes to feel obligated to another. You are not doing a lady a favour by taking her out for a meal - she is doing YOU a favour by accepting!
It's much nicer for somebody to take another person out for a meal than eat out alone. It takes a certain 'grace' to accept the hospitality of another. In a loving relationship you give and expect nothing in return; however if the other person 'uses' you then you'll feel taken advantage of.
In the larger picture of things you do receive in return, because things 'come around' - you are nice to one person and some other person is nice to you. That's life.
Expecting something in return, and being upset and angry when your generosity is not returned by an individual is selfish and petty minded - just don't treat that person again, smile and move on!
i have to admit that 100% of Maltese people posting in English on this site type better English than the lovely English lady organising the Sliema 'bash'
I've never been to Dublin, although my first wife was from the Republic of Ireland.........went to Cork for the day once though and hired a car and drove around - it was a beautiful day and had the most 'magical' quality! :)
'Love is a many splendoured thing' (i.e. let you lady dress up, compliment her and take her out even if you want to stay at home and flake out in front of the television - woo her like before you trapped the poor woman, dammit!)
You should see the women in Swansea, South Wales, UK - they are totally drop dead gorgeous....it's only when they open their mouths you realise they are 99% brain dead and as common as sheep droppings :)
I've always supported women financially, but yes - maybe it would be nice to meet a woman who could stand on her own two feet....it might say something about her character!
RE: British in MALTA.
No problem!
