RE: What's on your mind..part 18

Yes, it is. For many reasons I have my doubts that he worked where he said he did. At most I'd say he is a snivel servant. Even the tea ladies down in the IFSC are flat out all day. No time to be carrying on hours and hours of online trolling. The only place you could be working and possibly get away with that amount of dossing is in the public service. Now if it was a public serivce IP that was used to do what it is alleged he did then there would be some stink from on high. He'll probably be replacing light bulbs in the Fastnet Rock lighthouse from now on laugh

RE: Women and marriage

Use whatever self-congratulatory terms you like to pat yourself on the back.

But you also said you were going to go back to not being arsed about anything I post and yet here you are correcting me on the self-congratulatory term you used for yourself. laugh

RE: Women and marriage

So you're not a Public Relations Exec? And you have such a great ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically, always responding to the issues at hand in a clear and 'forthright' (I believe that was the word you used to describe yourself) manner laugh

RE: Women and marriage

Er, no it's not. You said

That's completely wrong. The wedding is the act of getting married, no matter where it takes place. You apparently still don't get that.

Since you are a big banking exec let me put it in business terms for you. Getting married, the wedding, is like signing a charter or contract to incorporate a company. You can do that in a solicitors office with a ton of lawyers or you can do it in a cafe on a plywood table with just two witnesses. Eiter way it is ratified in the companies office, by the State, to make it legally binding. This is like the wedding ceremony - done in a church or registry office it is when it is registered with the State that it becomes a legally binding contract.

The business or corporation is like the marriage, not the wedding or incorporation charter.

I can use a simple analogy if the business one is too complicated for you. laugh

RE: What's on your mind..part 18

That's an often asked question. Personally I don't think I would feel good knowing that my father of mother was posting my picture on an online dating site. It might give an impression of poor judgment to some people.

Oh no, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow and I have nobody to spend money on. So for all the one's that got away I got away from......laugh

RE: Women and marriage

You're confusing your terms. A wedding is the ceremony that creates a marriage. It can be done in a registry office or Westminster Cathedral. The marriage is the union formed by the wedding ceremony.

The basic requirements for a marriage in the eyes of the State are the same in all circumstance, regarless of the chosen ceremony; a man and woman who freely and with mental competence enter into a lifelong bond with the intent of having children.

RE: judging people on the opinions of others , who is guilty ???

Most people need to be accepted by their 'herd', so it's not so much that they are judging people on the opinions of other but more that they want to know the opinions of the others so they can agree with them. Forming an opinion about someone or something takes a bit so skill and it's not one you will develop if you always follow the herd.

Gender Pay Gap

Thanks for that Phoenix. It's actually a completely different thing but I hadn't seen that case, so thanks for it. I did a thread on 'equal pay for work of equal value' last October after I was contacted by a trade unionist friend who was outraged at this new move. He said the Unions are so full of Feminist men and women that they straigh away caved in to this United Nations attack on lower paid male workers.

In the case of Birmingham City Council, care assistants, cooks and cleaners were on the same pay grade as bin men, grave diggers and street sweepers. However, the more difficult and dangerous jobs that require working in the rain, and which require a lot more flexibility and cooperation with the environment and public at unsociable hours are done by men because women CHOOSE to do the easier jobs. The jobs that attract a bonus for extra hard work are therefore the ones chosen by men. Women are free to work as bin men where they can get gouged with glass, bitten by dogs, crushed by the truck or cars but they instead choose to work more sociable and safer hours. But now, thanks to 'equality', they can work sociable hours in nice dry, safe, warm conditions and get the same bonus as men who break their balls.

It’s estimated the cost of this to Birmingham City Council will be £3 billion with the average payout to the cleaning ladies being £134,000. This will be passed on to the people of Birmingham in higher council charges. In the long run it will men councils will be unable to pay workers doing hazardous jobs a bonus and productivity will fall. The women will be back to where they were before and the men will lose the hard won bonuses they fought for down the years. Well done Feminism, the workhorse of the global elite.
